It can handle any game with ease and the 144 hz display is amazing I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice gaming/editing laptop. The only thing that I do not like about it is the speakers they sound really cheap and the amount do storage. You can upgrade it but it’s a pain I just bought an external ssd to run my games off of and it works great.

I did about a day of research on what would be the best slim gaming laptop and it came down to 3 choices, the Zephyrus S, the Razer 15, and the MSI GS65. Everything pointed me to the GS65 and I could not be happier with my purchase! Runs Forza Horizon 4 on Ultra Settings at 72 fps while also having a great battery life. Only downside would be the laptop can get very hot under heavy load.

My work required larger screen for better accessibility for certain software and I went thru a few 15.6" laptop, this is by far the most satisfying machine I have tried. Light weight, thin bezel, 1080P resolution is actually better for lots of working software, and the keyboard is top notch too. I for sure recommend this laptop for ppl looking for larger screen, light weight machine for work.

This thing is a powerhouse. It can play just about anything my $2,500 desktop can. It does get a little hot on the left side - but when you manage to fit a 1070 in a laptop it's only to be expected.
The 144hz display is gorgeous, and it's exactly what I wanted in a laptop screen - I could not care less about 2 or 4k when dealing with a laptop.
So far I can't recommend this thing enough.

It's definitely a good gaming laptop since you don't have to sacrifice aesthetics and portability. The gold trim looked very nice on this updated model. The 144hz screen made gameplay immersive and enjoyable. Few issues I had with the overall great laptop is the minimal sound output that it has, the thermals and some portions of the laptop feeling cheap (where the chassis presses in). It's a great laptop but you're essentially paying a premium for a thin ultrabook that has the capabilities and more of a gaming laptop.

Great Laptop for gaming and productivity as it is very customizable with the key binds and RGB SteelSeries keyboard. It is easy to fine tune to your individual needs and is very light and compact for the power and performance capabilities that it possesses. Overall great buy (especially during a sale). I paid $1200 for mine and I think it was an amazing buy.

This is my first gaming laptop. It is extremely powerful and runs demanding games like Sea of Thieves with no lag on high graphics. Despite this power, it is thin and light enough to carry around and looks like a good quality notebook. Sometimes it does heat up and the fans become a bit loud, but this is to be expected running certain games. I have run into no issues so far and am still amazed that such a compact laptop holds this 1070 graphics card. It is perfect for those who want to run powerful software yet not have to carry a massive computer where they go.

Other than a slight hiccup I ran into when first booting up where the mouse was acting up, this is a great laptop. That issue was fixed quickly with a software update. The keyboard is awesome, the mouse is responsive. The screen is beautiful and the laptop is light and thin. Even the speakers sound good. Haven't gotten to game much with it yet, but so far it's near perfect.

The MSI GS65 stealth is a bit pricey but for the specs that you're getting I'd say it's very fair. The core i7 8th gen makes productivity so smooth. I can run just about any game on ultra settings with the GTX 1070 Max Q. It does get a little warm under load but I haven't noticed any throttling. Overall I think this is an excellent laptop and would recommend it to anybody.

I just got it and so far it is great. I like the overall look and the overall feel. The one thing most people are worried about it the thermal on this device but, so far it isn't too hot under casual usage. I haven't tried gaming on it yet (will update review once I do), so i don't know how hot it could get. The main reason why I got this device is because of its slim design. I wanted a laptop that was portable and could game on. I didn't want a bulky Alienware or anything similar, as I didn't want to carry a brick around with me at school. This device weights under 5 pounds and fulfills all of my needs of gaming and school.

This is a extremely light power house.
My go to games are Killing Floor 2, R6 Seige, and World of Tanks.
KF2: max settings and max gore/gibbs. a solid 130-150fps.
Rainbow 6 Seige: max settings. a solid 80fps.
WOT: Ultra settings 102-119(119 being the frame cap).
All the while, the three fans can be heard but it is neither distracting to you playing or anyone around you. I am sure if I played something more demanding it would be louder. The went with the 500gb SSD rather than the 250 NVME (same otherwise configuration) for cost/gb savings.
Although the screen is not particularly bright it is more than sufficient for playing at airports, buses, and at home. It is anti-glare so there is no need to boost brightness to overcome your surroundings.
The back lighting is a real treat although I had to disable it due to my toddler constantly trying to grab the computer. The touchpad is also pretty good, similar to 2007 macbook pro kind of feel. But any gamer worth their salt will opt for a mouse, I recommend the Razer Athens (with the dongle...bluetooth has notable input lag in comparison) due to its small size and easy portability.
This NEARLY fits in the Thule Gauntlet 3.0 case. If the corners were ever so slightly more rounded it would fit. but alas, it does not quite fit without a lot of pressure on the zipper.

This MSI laptop was definitely worth the money. The processor is fast and smooth and almost all the games I have played it has not slowed down at all. I'd say it definitely compares to alienware and maybe even better especially for the price. Keyboard looks great and it's a little bulky but all gaming laptops are really, would reccomend to all computer gamers!! 5 star

So it does get quite hot in your lap, and the screen is only 15.6”, but you should know all this going into it as it’s a gaming laptop built to feel and look like it’s worth double the money! I love the performance, gaming and simple multitasking, but no good for video editing (just feels like old school slow terribleness, and may crash on big files!), and I’ve had truly zero issues in 3 years of ownership so far. Now there is a small hiccup with the screen bezel getting a little crick n crackly when you open/close it from a certain corner. Best use two hand when opening and closing to avoid that problem, as I’m sure it’s going to wear out and snap at some point on mine, but hey, it’s been 3 years so far and all is well!
I highly recommend this model and future upgrades that come out, as long as MSI doesn’t go messing it up. Keep this precious gem as is, and just update the hardware year after year, right MSI?!

If you are used to playing on a laptop with 60hz you will be amazed by this laptop. The 144hz display is vastly Superior to consoles and most laptops. Runs really well and quiet. Fortnite works on low settings with a smooth 144 frame cap, but it will get easily over 60 or even 90 on higher settings.
I did have a few issues with drivers for stuff but nothing a little Google searching didn't fix.
Almost no bloatware.
Good battery life
Not very loud speakers
Headphones with mic will need splitter on the end to use mic.
MSI software is not bad at all either. A lot better than Razers built in software.

I've been in the market for a gaming laptop for a while and this laptop has done an amazing job so far. Smooth fps, nice color saturation in the screen and slim look-n-feel. The only thing that could be improved is that the fans can get a bit loud when the system goes under load, but a small sacrifice to get a full blown graphics card in it. Great product!

I was very skeptical about a gaming laptop because any laptops I had in the past weren't specifically a gaming one and would never pull the power to play games good. This laptop handles everything I through out it to play Destiny 2, Fortnite and more.. no lag or hesitations and works as equal to my alientware I7 Desktop. Keyboard is a bonus and cool as beans.

for the start this laptop has Great keyboard, light weight and looks so elegant.
The cons for this laptop are the screen brightness which only has 300 nits and its lower that the laptop i has before and sometimes its annoying. the mouse pad sometimes not responding but don't get me wrong its rarely happen and should not be a deal breaker at all.
while i'm writing the review the laptop just got disconnected to internet and i don't know if its from the laptop or from modem since i have been using the laptop for only 6 hours .
I will try to update my review in 2 weeks with full experience review.

Had this for about two weeks, really loving the size and lightness. My previous gaming laptop was close to 15 lbs...
First off the screen is awesome, The high refresh rate and the color is fantastic. kind of wish it was touchscreen!
Keyboard and touchpad are good, only wish it had a fingerprint reader built in...
The HDD is okay, but the recovery and backup volumes had to go, I clean installed windows and it is much better.
Sound quality is good, and my built in mic was great.
Overall it's a great grown up's gaming laptop. It wouldn't look out of place on my boardroom table.

The experience is being very good, it is very light and thin and I can play several modern games on max graphic settings and still have high FPS.
The keyboard is really cool and soft, you can customize a lot.
It is not really a problem but it gets hot when you're playing, that makes me feel a little uncomfortable.
Really worth.
