At a mere 4.1 pounds and 0.7 inches thick,MSI's GS65 Stealth Thin is one of the company's slimmest gaming laptops to date. It's also one of the first gaming systems to feature Intel's new 8th gen, six-core Coffee Lake processor, which promises 20 percent more performance than its predecessor, making this model a good system for productivity.

This laptop is everything i expected and more. The youtube videos dont do it justice. For 2000, this thing is unreal. Lightning Fast but with all this tech, some heat is produced. you can overclock the fans and it stays relatively cool. Coolest part, individual key colors. Making thew keyboard light up exactly how you want it awesome.

I purchased the Dell XPS 15 to be my main graphic design and casual gaming laptop and it’s amazing for graphic design work but gaming on it is another story it throttles to the point of being unusable. I decided to get a dedicated gaming laptop but was not sure which one so after months extensive research I decided to get the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin, all I have to say is wow. Having a GTX 1070 MaxQ, an 8th gen intel I7 8750h processor, a full HD screen at 144hz, and 16gb of ram for the price that it’s at is unbelievable. And not to mention this thing looks good and simple not like a lot of gaming laptops that look too over the top and. I play Destiny 2 on ultra settings and I’m getting between 60 to 144fps if you are thinking of getting a gaming laptop I would recommend this any time even over the Dell XPS 15. The only grip I have is there is tiny hiss from one of the fans.

This laptop fits all my needs as a gaming laptop. It is able to play graphic-intensive games with high-max settings with no problem. With the IPS 144hz display, the games you play also look incredible. Under normal use, the laptop is very quiet and does tasks easily. However, under heavy load, this laptop puts out a considerable amount of heat. Considering how thin and light this laptop is, this was to be expected. With some undervolting and the addition of a cooling pad, the heating issue is not as bad. I'm sure with some repasting, it would be perfect.

This is a beast of a laptop coming out of the box with enough hardware and computing power to handle anything you throw at it. That being said, I can't leave well enough alone I opened it up and added a 1 TB M.2 Drive (there are two M.2 slots which is a really nice expansion feature) and upgraded it to 32 GB Ram. I don't recommend this to anyone but if you know have experience working on computers go ahead and do it. It is a little difficult because the Motherboard is mounted upside down so you have to completely remove it to get to the components. I was able to run The Witcher 3 at 60 fps with not problem and it ran all my Oculus Rift VR apps with no problems. It does get a little hot while gaming so make sure you have good ventilation. By far the best laptop I have ever owned and I've gone through about 10 so far. The only thing I think MSI missed on was not adding a card reader. As a drone pilot I like to edit my videos while the flight is still fresh in my mind. Transferring the files via USB requires the Drone to be powered on which wastes battery and takes more time. Overall though I love this laptop. Great job MSI

This laptop has solid specs and looks and feels amazing. It has solid and smooth material with a great keyboard.

This laptop has a 144hz screen, super thin bezels. The design is premium, keys feel good, and it is super light for the amount of power. It is amazing for travel and gaming on the go a definite must for gamers who travel often the form factor and the MAX-Q design are amazing. Hands down best Max-Q laptop in the market.

This MSI laptop is exactly what I needed to be portal while still maintaining my gaming ability. It easily allows me to work on campus, in the dorm, or at my house and be able to flip into beast mode at a moments notice.

So much speed crammed into this small device, it's truly amazing. Once the CPU has been undervolted the throttling issues are all gone. The screen is beautiful, the chassis feels great and the keyboard is amazing to type on. I love setting the keyboard to solid gold when I'm working, with an easy key combination to set it to whatever I wan't when I'm not focusing. The battery is great, I'm seeing estimates of over 9 hours when typing notes at 50% brightness.

Awesome gaming laptop! Gets a little hot when playing for hours so I bought a fan/stand for under it for around $20 and have not had any problems as of yet. The power block gets scary hot but so does the ones on other laptops we have. When we play it’s usually for 3-8 hours so it gets used.

I do video and audio editing and this laptop is powerful enough to do what I need. It's small and lightweight which is great since I travel a lot. The keyboard is nice to type on as opposed to most laptops I've used. I'm extremely satisfied.

This is a great laptop for someone who is looking for high performance, but doesn't want a thick, ridiculous looking gaming laptop like so many of them are. It's fast, the gold accents look great, the 144hz screen is very nice to have, and the keyboard is pretty fantastic for a laptop in my opinion.

If thin and light is what you're looking for, this is probably your best bet. My favorite things about this laptop are : - Design - Black with gold accents looks great - Keyboard - Perfect amount of travel, cool RGB modes - 144 hz panel makes for a super smooth experience - Ahead of the pack battery performance for simple tasks Dislike : Track pad placement - I run into it often while typing Hinge design - Although aesthetically its a win, mine came slightly unaligned.

This is a great laptop if you are looking for something portable but enough power to do some serious gaming. The build quality is excellent but I did have to dock a star because there is this annoying creaking sound on the bottom right by the trackpad when you move it or set your wrist on it. Aside from that it works as advertised. It runs a little hot with stock settings but it did not affect gameplay at all. If you do a search some people have found some fan and undercoating settings that work well.

I was considering buying either the MSI GS55 or the Razer 15.... After extensive research i decided to go with this one mainly because of price difference and you get way more bang for your buck. After buying and using the MSI GS65 for a while i can honestly tell you i have no regrets. The only Con i can think of is the location of the charger dock in the Laptop. It is very awkardly located in the side of the laptop where the mouse would be.

This laptop up to now is very customizable & very nice looking. The keyboard can be set up in many different patterns & color schemes. only issue I had was google chrome crashing a couple of times but nothing a full system update couldn't fix (alot of the software came out of date straight out of the box). I was able to play games like destiny & fortnite on high settings, & was also able to connect accessories such as my gaming mouse & keyboard to the laptop so I can game. Overall I give this laptop a 4/5 stars just cause I dont know what the future holds I cant comment on how long a device will last cause its my 1st gaming laptop but, as of right now I am very happy with my purchase. this laptop so far has pretty much slayed every game I've thrown at it. All with ease I might add... The design and aesthetics of it are on point, love the size love pretty much everything about it, if you are considering it and are wiling to drop the cash... JUST DO IT! you won't regret it

So, first I noticed that when sitting normal, a fan inside the laptop seems to constantly hit a wire or something. It just makes a constant clicking noise. Other than that, this laptop rocks. The display is one of the best 1920 x 1080 displays on the market. I'm super spoiled to the smoothness of Mac's retina displays and have become quite picky. Almost went with a 4k laptop with crappy specs because I couldn't stand any FHD displays. Just look at the text on the screen at FHD, the pixels are literally visible. But with this one, the text is smooth, great! Even the cursor moving around the screen is smoother than most other laptops. The keyboard feels great, and the laptop looks amazing without being over the top gaming style. It could easily pass in the office or in gaming circles. The trackpads is great too. Feels great, responds great, works great. The laptop is lightweight, speakers are good, good set of ports... I love this thing.

After a lot of research into gaming laptops I choose this one for the specs and size. I travel for work and the size of this laptop is great since I also have to carry a work laptop. I have had no issues playing Overwatch, Fortnite, and Wow. It is like I am still at home on my desktop.
