The MSI GS65 is a very nice laptop - thin and easy to carry. It has Nvidia GTX1070. I have compared it with other thin models with similar hardware and decided to buy MSI in terms price and performance. But there is a problem on lack support on Linux Ubuntu. It took me 2 days to successfully installing it with Linux OS with dual boots (windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04). I still have problem on wifi 5gig radio mode and have to use 2.5gig radio instead. Another issue is after screen saver, wifi card stuck in airplane mode and have to reboot the Linux system to get back on wifi. otherwise it's a super ...

careful , you best prop up the back of the laptop to get full circulation. I've had it shut off several times when trying to game on my 65" tv in medium high settings in ESO... This is not future proof already out of date and I was lucky! lucky to get $1000 back on it on eBay as it's hardware has quickly aged. you can get way better for the same price from MSI now 2 years later OH & The AUDIO for this laptop is absolutely horrible for a $2100 laptop(that's what I paid for it new 3 months after it's release date)

A powerful machine in such a small form factor makes this laptop very desirable. It can feel fragile at times but overall this laptop is a powerhouse.

Works well for gaming especially if you optimize with the Nvidia app. Fans run a bit loud, but to be expected with high settings in games. Individual key color options are easy to set up and useful in a variety of apps. Screen visuals are clear and responsive at 144hz. Also connected easily to an Xbox wireless controller and with Miracast to a Smart TV. Wish I had maxed out the RAM for future proofing purposes and that the power cord jack was located in back rather than the side. Haven’t given it a full battery run time test yet, but no issues thus far.

The performance is definitely worth the price, although its endurance is yet to be tested. Only issue thus far was caused by windows, when its updates broke the wireless internet driver on the laptop. But MSI support was quick to give a solution, and the issue was not their fault to begin with, so they get 5 stars from me.

I got this laptop to use instead of a desktop and the specifications this laptop has are great. Im a gamer so this was my best choice after searching for like 2 months also the price this laptop has is a great deal. I like this laptop already its not too bulky or too slim, its in the right size scenario. Glad i bought it from best buy.

writing this review on it in fact and I am completely in love. I used to be a pure desktop user and even though laptops are not as strong as some high end desktops yet, I can do everything comfortably on this laptop so far with no problems. I am using it much more than my desktop now even when I don't need to.

All I have to say is this laptop is amazing. it has this slick and thin look that makes look awesome and the power it has is outstanding. this honestly is my first gaming laptop and I am really satisfied with what I bought. If your looking for a computer that runs really good and looks awesome I'd recommend this. msi does their work.

I have had laptops from custom manufacturers such as Alienware (pre Dell) as well as Sager. This Wonderful Lightweight has made me a believer. Thin, light with a power supply that weighs less than a brick. Great clarity and fast refresh speed on the screen, plays my games on Ultra settings with out a problem. LOVE IT

The statement above in the title of this review couldn't be more true. i am nothing but pleased with the quality and performance of the computer right out of the box. one tip, don't mess with the Dragon Center until you've studied what the computer can do right out of the box. i was that guy that wanted to push the limits... Right out of the box this thing is a monster. i can run fortnight at about 200fps capped on ultra settings and games like cs-go at a capped and steady 300fps. overkill for anything over 150fps considering the ultra clear 144hz screen that's put into this beast. by far best purchase i've made in a very long time. i would definitively recommend to a friend, family member or anyone looking for gaming on the go. the only problem that i have currently is with how they built the expandable ram with the compatibility of the motherboard. they have two slots or "sticks" of 8gb ram instead of one stick of 16 to be easy and cheap to replace down the road to upgrade to 32 gb of ram. overall that's the only thing that is a drawback of this computer but 16 is plenty for any laptop in my mind. unless your into some crazy stuff...

I’ve wanted to get a power house gaming laptop for some time now. I had my heart set on an Alienware for years. When I looked at the stats of the MSI GS65 I was sold. I have been using the laptop now for over a month. I’ve been able to run top notch titles on the highest setting without even a lag spike. The only thing that is making this a 4 Star review is the fact that this is my third laptop. The first had a dead pixel so I exchanged it. The second had over heating issues so I exchanged it. The third was and is perfect in every way possible.

I did a lot of research into a gaming laptop that I could bring to work and not raise too many eye brows with what it looked like. This laptop brings work and gaming together in a perfect blend of performance and lowkey looks. I highly recommend to check it out if you're interested in a slim gaming build with plenty of performance.

This laptop is the perfect mix between power and portability. It's not extremely light weight like you would get with a surface laptop, but compared to other gaming computers that offer the same internal technology, it can't be beat. Build quality I feel is the only con of this laptop. But that's expected with it being so light

Great product. When it comes to laptops I usually stick with Macbooks as I enjoy there build quality. This MSI laptop though, really gives the Macbook Pro a run for its money. Premium build, beautiful 144hz display, quite and runs cool. I would definitely recommend this laptop for those looking for a solid Windows PC.

I did hours of research before I ended up purchasing this from Bestbuy. This is simply the best laptop you can buy for the money right now in my opinion. Has run any game I have throw at it with no problem at all. It can get loud when the fans are on cooler booster mode, but that is to be expected, and is great because it keeps my temps around 75 degrees C. everything about this laptop is great. Also as a tip: If you are having issues with the thermals or the laptop running hot make a custom fan curve and under volt your CPU. There are a lot of videos on undervolting using a utility like Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Undervolting made my laptop run much much cooler and helps a lot with temps. My only gripe with this laptop is that 512gb hard drive is not big enough. Once you install a couple games the entire hard drive is taken up; so the first thing I did was install a 1TB SATA SSD and do a clean install of windows. Other than the small hard drive everything is amazing about this laptop and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium and powerful laptop cable of anything you throw at it.

The best latop in the market by now. Easily get 90-120 FPS on high setting PUBG and 190 FPS on ultra setting LOL. but the fan is really loud.

I have owned multiple gaming laptops from asus and also 2 macbook pros but this by far surpasses all of them. The amount of power the laptop packs with the small frame and weight is amazing. I am now using this for school as the trackpad is great and it allows me to have an all in one machine. 10/10 recommended.

I will make this as simple and to the point as possible. This laptop checks about every single box that you would want from this category of laptop. Cooling is solid and not as loud as the Aero 15x or Razer Blade 15. Keyboard layout is miles better than both of those as well, in my opinion. Build quality leaves some to be desired, but its not bad at all. Screen is bright and responsive. Love the 144hz. Biggest reason for the -1 star is the motherboard being upside down, making repasting or upgrading memory a task.

This laptop can run anything you throw at it! Great design, nice and small. Highly recommended you check out undervolting online for this unit. Its very safe and allows you to get the most out of this laptop. A very small undervolt can prevent all throttling of the processor. MSI hit it out of the park.

This Steelseries keyboard has to be the best keyboard I have ever typed on. The gaming laptop performs just as you would expect. 0 issues with this unit. I love it. It is definitely worth the cost. It is so portable! I mean it is THIN. The screen is beautiful. You seriously will not regret getting this.
