this is by far the best laptop i have ever owned. it plays all the latest games on ultra settings at 70+ fps. everything is almost instant when you open it. from opening the box you realize the quality and care MSI puts into its products. i will never buy anything else except MSI again!!

Before this laptop, I had many others but more recently I was using a PC for demanding tasks and a chromebook for on the go web browsing and communication. I finally grew tired without a more versatile laptop, and searching through reviews and websites I felt that this laptop would suit my needs. Firstly, upon inspecting this laptop, it is beautiful- I didn't want an ugly, bulky gaming laptop. I wanted one equipped for any task, but that wouldn't stand out in a bad way. The keyboard and trackpad are smooth to use, but I did notice some of the 'creaking' below the trackpad that other comments mentioned. It does not bother me and isn't immediately apparent, but it is there. This laptop is light and portable while also handling the games I have tested very well, such as Black Desert Online and World of Warcraft. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend it. The battery life is pretty generous, as well. I am confident in this laptop's ability handle anything I set it to, and I am not experiencing any issues or problems.

What this Laptop does well it does really well! Its biggest selling point is being a slim, light, and powerful laptop. What can I say? At only 4.14 pound this is the most powerful laptop I have owned. The Max Q 1070 powers through the games I have thrown at it such as The Witcher 3. Combined with the 144hz display any gamer, hardcore or not, will have a solid gaming experience. Some of the cons, though cons I don't think justify taking away a star, include the keyboard, drivers, and some thermal throttling. The keyboard took me a little bit to get used to as it is a little shallow compared to keyboards I normally use. The sound drivers needed updated from the ones included in the box, easily done if you have a basic understanding of google. Lastly for me this machine does thermal throttle, but in the games I play it I couldn't tell unless I had a frames per second counter telling me I was getting less frames. Overall this is a 5 star machine that I would recommend to someone in the market for a slim and powerful gaming machine,

Wonderful laptop! Very sleek but still holding up the great build quality that MSI always delvers. The look is very professional so taking it to work is no issue, but once you get home its powerful enough to run some of the top games. Keyboard has a very nice feel with good feedback. Only think i don't like so far is the touch pad. I feel like it isnt as responsive as some other laptops and i have a hard time sometimes right clicking. All in all, i would buy this laptop 100 times again. Very happy with it!

I bought this laptop because of the following: screen with good color gamut, 8-hour advertised battery life, good build quality, and lightweight. Nothing else was as well-rounded as this laptop. The biggest draw for me was the advertised 8 hr battery life in a powerhouse like this. However, since I did a fresh Windows install, for some reason I have been getting worse battery life (around less than 6 hours on full charge for browsing, half brightness, and power usage on comfort mode), which is frustrating. The fresh install was necessary because otherwise, due to a very well known GPU driver bug, the laptop kept having stuttering issues (pc occasionally has no response for a second or less). The backlight bleed is also unfortunately noticeable on a black screen in one of my corners... Having paid this much for the laptop it was very disappointing to see. The colors are nice though, and it is a 120hz screen. So at the end of the day: this laptop is awesome, but there are very obvious flaws such as the laptop's default drivers causing stuttering every few seconds and backlight bleed that make me disappointed for this price range. Also, MSI is one of the harder brands to install Linux on if you need it for work. The volume is pretty low on this laptop, don't expect it to be very good on your lap since the speakers are small and downfire. I feel that this laptop is GREAT, but ultimately some of the flaws made the laptop less enjoyable than I thought would be.

This laptop is a complete package wrapped in a slim, light weight, frame. It's processor and graphics card are amazing and the laptop is well made. The only things which could be better are that the fans can get rather loud when the computer is under load and there isn't a ton of internal storage.

Design, RGB keyboard, performance all are awesome and thin, light weighted laptop. I definitely recommend it to buy and worth it for the price they kept.

For the price, this machine is basically unmatched. With its I7 processor being so powerful and having a 8GB GDDR5 video card and sufficient video memory at 16 GB, this laptop absolutely blazes. As well, it has a very sleek design. There are items that could be better. For example, the video memory only being 16 GB is great for now, but in the next couple of years it will start to lag behind. Also, even though having 512 GB SSD, or solid state drive, means that load times are virtually nonexistent, it will lack in keeping a lot of games on your laptop, but that shouldn't interfere much especially if you use steam and don't mind keeping only a couple games downloaded at a time. Honestly, my biggest problem is that it doesn't have a num pad, which says quite a lot about how much I like this machine. The reason I gave this product a 5/5 is because I got exactly what I expected, a machine that is very powerful and efficient and the little things that were a 'problem' weren't that important to me.

Loads up fast! All my games and programs run smoothly on this laptop. Battery life is great for a gaming laptop! I bought 2 other laptops prior to this one and had to return them because the battery only lasted 2 - 3 hours. I get 5 - 8 hours battery life depending on what I am doing. Love it!

So far have had the GS65 for a week now and after using the device for a minimal amount of time it has performed quite well. Slim and light weight make it ideal for taking to work and anywhere else. Games look amazing and system doesn't seem to overheat. Did have an issue with a windows update removing my network adapter, but after calling MSI support they made it easy and walked me through the steps of setting it up again. More of a windows issue and not a machine performance issue.

Let me preface this by saying, I bought this laptop after previously having a 2017 Dell Inspiron 7577 for a year. This is the best decision I could have ever made. The bump into 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors as well as the laptop variant of the Nvidia GTX 1070 are STAND OUT features of this device. The speed is palpable from the first boot screens you see to everyday shut down/restart times. It's WICKED fast. This laptop is lightweight and is absolutely beautiful in design, a much needed improvement from the black and red "gamer-fied" designs of yester-year's Gaming laptops. The port selection is OUTSTANDING. Standouts being Full HDMI, Full size Ethernet, and three USB-A 3.0 ports. I love it. This inclusion ensures that I will never have to bring along any adapters to plug any of my various peripherals in. The fans are quiet, and in tandem, the laptop brings in a great overall thinness/sleekness that lets it comfortably fit in any backpack/daypack. This universal design of matte black metal translates flawlessly to the responsive and customizable back lit keyboard. Allowing the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin to be used in the boardroom as well as the gaming room. Keyboard clicks without sticking, the power port would've been nice to have been USB-C/Thunderbolt3 instead of a barrel plug but for the price, I can manage. The one thing that makes this laptop a 4/5 for me is the omission of any Windows Hello features. I miss Windows Hello like you wouldn't believe. The convenience of a fingerprint reader or Iris scanning module is unknown to most, but after having it in a machine I only spent $1200USD for last year, the lack of it in a $2000+USD machine this year was a definite missed opportunity in the simplicity department. I know its a nitpick, but this is my honest review. Overall, the performance is outclassed by none in my book. I have yet to have any problems. Another Great buy from Best Buy.

I bought this laptop because of its very powerful hardware and high refresh screen. It has played Arma 3 on Ultra so far without skipping a beat. I underestimated how impressive the screen is. Not only does it make my games look great, scrolling through pages on the internet is a completely different experience. As a side note there is no bloatware on the computer and the MSI apps are actually useful, not things you will want to delete immediately. Two things I do not like: the speakers are absolutely terrible, they have enough fidelity to be useful for situational awareness in an FPS, but for watching movies or listening to music the detract from the experience. Make sure you use a headset because the quality of the audio output signals are actually really nice sounding. The other issue I have is that the power button sometimes does not register when i press it. It will depress and click like it is designed to, but it won't do anything. It requires more than one press sometimes.

I use this computer mainly to do school work and outside animation programming. It runs smooth and can multitask with is. The battery life is quite impressive as well. The one honest complaint is that the machine does get noisy/hot, but that is to be expected from such a powerful machine!

Pro: Awesome performence! lightweight! Excellent for both work and gaming! Con: Heat is a problem but not unbearable. TBH, it's totally understandable and cooling stand will solve the problem. Need 3rd party tool to partition disks (but i guess not a problem with msi)

Great laptop. So light and fast. Just love the size. Looked for an hour. Also read reviews from multiple sites. I compared to alienware. The competitors are so big, clunky and heavy. I like the RGB keyboard too. Use this at work, viewing security cameras. Also game at home with it.

I like the solid build and small size of this laptop. Its light weight too. For some reason the TouchPad only scrolls a few lines. I tinkered with the touchpad setting but to no avail. I called tech support and Bryon was not willing to help and said " I don't have time to go over the steps" He didn't know how to install the mouse driver either and just gave vague instructions without going through the steps. Other than the tech support I still like the laptop.

I fell in love with this laptop. It has all of the specs you want in a solid gaming laptop and managed to be light and portable at the same time. It runs hot game right now like Fortnite with ease and is all around a great device. Highly recommend this over other brands.

It's a fantastic design, light wieght, looks great, and it runs amazing. I've yet to have it not be able to run a game on the highest settings. One gripe is that because of it's slim design it can at times get rather hot, though I've never had it throttle to the point it became an issue, and overtime this taxes the fans and is just generally annoying have a laptop you can fry eggs on. Other than that minor issue it's a fantastic laptop.

I was skeptical to pick this laptop up at first thinking man it sucks you cannot upgrade the Storage on the PC (Besides SSD of course) but that was quickly thrown outside as I opened this bad boy up . The packaging is amazing and seamless as it should be with a laptop of this price and nature, and the levels of protection on the laptop itself are awesome from cloth protector to layers of protection. The display is what blew me away. Crisp clean and super pretty to look at. I come from a Alienware R5 and the only thing this is lacking as is all MSIs is G-Sync on the screen. That was my only disappointment with a 144Hz monitor. The keyboard is fluid and easy to use and feels just right. I highly recommend this PC to anyone look for a sleek, easy to carry, and highly powerful machine. It gets games done at a phenominal rate and there is nothing like it I have used in a long time.

I've enjoyed the MSI Stealth laptop. I researched laptops for quite some time before selecting this. The form factor of this laptop is impressive when you consider all that is packed inside. The 144mhz screen also makes a tremendous difference while gaming. The laptop does not feel as substantial as a MacBook Pro or Razor, but the MSI Stealth is noticeably lighter. The trackpad is not the best. Definitely need to use a separate mouse.
