"powerful and sophisticated"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop after listing almost 50 laptops ....it was like i am buying the best laptop or not.....but after purchasing it. I was supper happy and thank you to msi for making such a beast. It is perfectly packed with all the specifications in only 'ONE' laptop. Absolutely love it. Compared to the other options available, this is the obvious choice for someone who travels often. Pros: 1. 144Hz 7ms display matches most professional gaming monitors. 2. 512GB SSD provides super fast speeds coupled with thin factor. 3. 1070 Max Q offers performance levels of desktop grade GPUs at significantly lower temperatures. 4. Three USB 3.0 ports for peripherals. 5. Extremely light (weight) for the performance it delivers; easier to travel with. Cons: 1. Price (but if you are looking at this laptop, you have already cleared that hurdle). 2. No mechanical keyboard (but, it is not a terrible let down); I use Logitech G413 Carbon with it. 3. Slightly fragile chassis (recommend lifting with both hands). Thank you MSI for making such a beast at such low price.

BEST LAPTOP IN THE STORE HANDS DOWN!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are like me you do a ton of research looking for a new product, you shop the competition, read all the tech reviews, watch the videos, view the benchmarks... yes I'm over the top! I went in knowing more about the laptops I was going to view in the store then the management and staff. After viewing the Razer Blade Pro, Surface Book 2, Dell XPS, and the Alienware series... the MSI KNOCKED IT OUT THE PARK. Sleeker, thinner, and sexier looking then the rest but packing all the goods under the hood. I have been using it 3 days now and it rocks. Turns heads in public, frags noobs online, and when its in my backpack I don't even know its there. The battery life is the most surprising thing I have seen for a computer this thing running these specs and although having the same size screen its footprint fit into my old Asus ROG. Once all the initial updates are out the way this thing is cool and quiet and a down right beast in gaming. Its days to day work productivity gives me over 5 hours off the battery, and it looks good while doing it. BUY NOW! The rest ain't worth your time.

Now You're Playing With Power
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew this machine would be powerful based solely on its specs, but I wasn't prepared for the small, slick form factor that accompanied it. In short, it's a beautiful laptop that outperforms my custom built gaming desktop pc. I'm using it for both playing games, and developing them using UE4. So far it has destroyed my already elevated expectations. There are both enough USB ports and enough internal power to effortlessly support the Oculus Rift (Rift + 2 Sensors for Touch). It's really convenient to have a portable VR station to showcase virtual reality for family and friends. Overall, though quite expensive, this is a super slick and incredibly impressive machine that I highly recommend.

Thin, but crazy powerful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I unboxed this laptop I thought it wouldn't run as great as it does. I have been playing games on high to ultra settings and haven't dropped a single frame. If the game supports 144 Hz refresh rate, it looks even better. I would absolutely recommend this laptop for gaming on the go or even gaming at home!

Overall fantastic windows laptop.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop as a replacement for my 2012 Macbook Pro which worked almost flawlessly until it was stolen last month. As someone used to the MacOS, it was a bit of a shock getting back into Windows (bloatware seems like such a crazy concept now), but I believe this laptop does well. It provides tons of power while also being very comfortable to use. The keyboard and trackpad are, in a word, good. The computer starts up surprisingly fast, something that I love about it. And, except for an issue where I had to download an audio driver, it has given me no problems. The only noticeable con is that the build quality does not seem as sturdy as other computers but I won't hold that against it as long as nothing breaks with heavy use (and I will not hesitate to update this review the second something does break). Overall I am quite happy with my purchase as the specs seems to be very good at the price that I did pay. P.S. If you are thinking of getting a razer, all my research says that they are in no way more reliable than this computer. They only look prettier.

Awesome Gaming Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time purchasing a gaming laptop and I have to say I'm really impressed with the design and build quality of it. I love the gold accent around it and I think it's very stylish. One of the reasons I've considered this laptop is the 144Hz screen and its beautiful display. Gaming feels very smooth as compared to my previous laptop that has the usual 60Hz.The NVidia GTX 1070 Max-Q is also a welcome upgrade. I can play various titles at high or ultra settings. My previous laptop did not have any back-lighting on its keys so it gets pretty bad when gaming when there was not enough light to illuminate the keyboard. Thankfully, this laptop has per key RGB and it makes gaming more fun and enjoyable. Overall, I love this laptop. For its size, I'm amaze at how lightweight it is and still packs more than enough power for my gaming needs.

Lightweight, Thin, High Powered Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is only 4.14 lbs with a very sharp and beautiful 144hz display. It has amazing specs for the price as well, consisting of a gtx 1070 8gb, 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD, and an 8th gen i7. It is fairly quiet and is made out of high quality parts. It also comes with a nice screen protector for when it's closed.

Fantastic Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very well-rounded device. It can be used for school, Netflix, general productivity, bust most importantly - gaming. Pros- -Extremely smooth 144hz display -Ability to restore to factory image -Ability to remove all unnecessary bloatware, meaning you don't have to completely wipe Windows -Quiet fans when not gaming -Very customizable keyboard with easy to learn and use software -VERY low-key Cons- (Nitpicking) -Does feel a bit flimsy and creaks a bit when you pick it up by the corners -Charging port is mid-laptop (not horrible but kinda weird to get used to) -The laptop came with the drive partitioned to two separate letters. I had to install third party software to combine the two partitions into one because windows would not allow me to extend the volume -The factory image file takes up 20GB's of space

Great thin laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is everything I expected it to be after many weeks of research. It is able to handle all of my games while still being thin and sleek. The CPU temps can get pretty high during intense gaming and the fans can get pretty loud as I expected. The laptop also shows finger prints very easily.

The Italian sports car of Gaming laptops
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop meets all expectations and has the blazing fast 8750H and 1070 max-q. This combo is sure to not bottleneck or throttle each other. The laptop has a beautiful slim form factor that is nicer than any macbook or other office laptop and has stunning gold trim and refrains from any cheesey and chunky visual effects like other gaming companies. (cough cough... Asus ROG, im looking at you.) the beautiful chassis alone is a reason to buy this laptop. For these reasons I see this laptop as a Ferrari or Lamborghini whilst other companies are still perfecting design. All together the laptop is phenomenal for a gamer, but does come with standard laptop difficulties such as a hard time accessing memory and storage and heating... The cooler boost fans are surprisingly effective and not as loud as many people claim.

Refined Gaming Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned 6 Alienware laptops throughout the years and this time around, I wanted a much lighter gaming laptop. And after much research, I've decided on the MSI GS65 stealth thin. After 2 months of usage, I am very pleased with the versatility and high end performance. I'm glad I made the switch.

Slim, Powerful & Discreet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have been waiting for the new 8th gen Intel laptops to come out and this one came with the two things I wanted - the 8th gen processor and MAX-Q 1070. I quote honestly have not had a "Gaming" computer in years and the last purchases I have made were for my Surface Pro 3, then Surface Pro 4 as my gaming needs have been satisfied by my PS4. Now that I have more time to spend on games I found myself wanting to get back into PC gaming, but not wanting to commit to a full size home gaming rig as I'm sure I would spend way more than I wanted to building it up and would not be able to bring it anywhere (I travel a lot for work). Enter, the GS 65. I researched for months, waited for it to launch and had it narrowed down to the Gigabyte Aero 15x and the GS65. The GS 65 wins hands down in the looks department, placement of the webcam, portability and the forthcoming fingerprint scanner in the power button. Overall I'm loving it and hope I can get a few good years out of this laptop as I have with my previous purchases.

Glad I upgraded
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought a Dell 15.6 inch gaming laptop, but it had a huge bezel around the screen and only had 8GB of ram. It was also kind of loud under gaming stress and would barely fit in my thin backpack (laptop was basically a size 17 laptop with a 15.6 inch screen). When I bought it, I did notice the demo version of the MSI. It was soooo sleek and had no bezel around the screen. It also 16Gb of RAM and a slightly better graphics card, but was twice as expensive. I also like how the keyboard was backlit with a yellow, goldlike color. It wasn't too hard on the eyes, which the Dell's bright blue ended up being. Anyway, I couldn't stop thinking about the MSI and all the negatives of the DELL that i had purchased, so I exchanged the dell for the MSI. Again, it was twice as much, but I feel that in the long run it is well worth it. The only negative I would say is that the speakers are pretty weak sauce. I was expecting much better in that department, but I don't feel this is enough of a negative to warrant losing a star.

Amazing Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, it's an amazing laptop. My old laptop blew out within a couple days after purchase. I've seen many youtube reviewers raving about this product, so I thought I'd give it a go considering the specs were great. So far no major issues. The backlit keyboard is mesmerizing and the laptop runs well in game. The only problem with this laptop is the heat. It isn't tolerable to have on your lap while gaming. I am looking into buying a cooling pad for this issue. But, other than that, I love this laptop.

Very Suprized...Amazing laptop for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest I was not expecting much of a gaming laptop to come from something so thin and sophisticated looking. I owned a previous MSI Gaming laptop and in no way did I think this would live up to....and exceed that one. The screen at 144hz is something fantastic. I have always had the 60hz ones and never thought I would notice a difference...I was wrong. It has played any game I have thrown at it on very high to Ultra High settings (Cities Skylines, WoW, Fortnite, etc..) and it is screaming fast. The only thing I would recommend is to get an upgraded hard drive in terms of space. The 500gb that mine came with quickly ran out. I am going to get a 2nd 500gb and put into the extra slot. I currently use a 4tb external to store games and such. This thing also gets pretty hot when under load playing games. What can you expect with a monster video card in such a thn and lightweight package. I am extremely please with this. I will recommend it to anyone and continue to purchase MSI products. Thank you.

This thing came from a Space Wormhole!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best computer I'v ever owned. The whole spec list is why I bought this unit. The screen is gorgeous and the colors are perfect and looks great in all my games. the refresh makes sure everything is silky smooth. the keyboard is way better than my previous computer that gave me color but no control over them. Now I have the power. the speakers are very high MIDS and HIGHS only. good for hearing clearly. but the audio jacks are where the audio quality really shines, makes my cheap headset feel premium. the graphics are great and its ability to play everything I throw at it is awesome, two clients at once and keep the fans full blast. or run one client in full screen and push it to the limit this little thin tanto knife laptop cuts through it. The thin bezels makes it look like your games are floating in mid air. this is definitely a laptop to snag up bought to go on a trip so ill get to try out the trackpad which so far good, feels fluid and get to try out all the ports and the light weightness of it all

No doubts, one of the best in the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop can run all actual games with good fps. It goes hot, so you'll need to buy sth to put under it in your desk. CSGO and rainbow six, with the right settings run smoothly in 144hz (sth very important for this games). Fortnite runs well with almost everything in the max settings.

Great value thin and light laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose this laptop over the Aero 15x because the value of the 512 ssd and the 144hz monitor. Performance in many games is top tier as expected and very pleased with many elements of the laptop. Build quality may be the only compromise but it feels solid and good treatment will go a long way.

One of the best thin laptops around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop is amazing for even the most graphically taxing games. Its size is also perfect for easy transportation of the device and fits snugly into a backpack. The 144hz refresh rate screen was also a major game changer in my opinion, it is very hard to go back to any type of 60hz monitor.

Powerful and Light, but Hot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far the GS65 Stealth has proven to be adequately powerful to run any game I have thrown at it on maximum settings. Its low weight makes it much easier to transport than my old laptop, and the overall design feels and looks quality. If I had one complaint, it would be that running intensive titles, it heats up to a nearly unbearable level, unless you use the (extremely noisy) cooler boost. Thankfully I can't really hear it through my headphones, but not everyone has that luxury.
