This device comes as close to a perfect balance of performance, features, and form factor as is possible with current laptop tech. Runs absolutely silent doing typical productivity tasks. Beautiful minimalist design. Clean lines, and high end feel thanks to the choice of materials. I even like the gold accents. I have yet to really put the laptop through it's paces. Will see how it does when I purchase God of War later this week. So far though, 144hz screen is great to work on. Colors look good and I am very happy they were able to put the camera at the top. No nose cam! Lastly, the size and weight are on the high end for a pro commuter but I had to have the big screen. Any bigger tho would have been difficult to bag and go. Only niggling complaint I have so far is with the click resistance of the track pad. Its just a little too stiff. Small complaint though. Overall a very close to perfect laptop.

Bought this laptop on 8/27/18 and it has been well over a month now and I have to say so far this is the most awesome laptop I have ever bought. This laptop is beyond wonderful!! Anyone looking for a light, portable, stylish laptop this is the one for you!

I know this is a "gaming" laptop but you would never be able to tell by looking at it. It's sleek look makes me comfortable bringing it to work/meetings. The compute power packed into such a small form factor is insane. It's definitely a "sleeper" laptop.

I'm not a tech savvy person but I do enjoy playing games. If you're looking for a laptop in this price range, definitely consider buying this laptop. It's a lot smaller and lighter than other gaming laptops, have better specs and I'm loving the small bezel.

Performance at it's best! and having decent battery life compared to most of the gaming laptops out there. Also not to mention the new Black and Gold elegant design that looks so classy. For me being a college student and a gamer this balances it all out!

This product is top of the line. High powered and VERY portable. The only minor detail I wished they could fix is that it is a little flimsy at the bottom where the mouse pad is. Other than that it is amazing. Runs Fortnite at 95 fps, very high powered.

Very intuitive and easy to setup! After having games installed on a lower powered computer, the processing and optimization of the better hardware was a major plus to overall efficiency in terms of playing visually demanding games and other applications.

This laptop is great for almost any task. It's performance is beefy enough to support most games. The outer casing can get very hot at times. and the laptop is on the heavier side, but that is to be expected with such a powerful yet portable machine

All right, here's my review of the wonderful MSI GS65 gaming laptop: (I had to tear myself away from Leisure Suit Larry to write this) /s Well, I can slowly retire a couple of Core 2 Duo laptops, as this new machine is about 15 times more powerful than what I've been using for years. Some of the reviewers have balked about build quality issues, but I haven't found any at all. Some observations regarding the install of Linux Mint 19: -- Run ubiquity without internet or grub install -- sudo ubiquity -b -- and let yannubuntu's boot-repair (with internet) do the grub dirty work. Use grub-customizer to clean up the grub menu. You'll have a cleaner install in the end. I've only had this machine for a few weeks but all in all I'm very pleased with the power, price point, and good looks of this laptop. Thanks to Best Buy and MSI.

Cheapest laptop from a reputable brand I could find with a 1070 and 8th generation i7, and super slim design (vs. ASUS Zephyrus M, Gigabyte Aero, etc.) +Great aesthetics, hardware, performance, screen -Run a little hot, speakers aren't very loud

The graphics card on this baby is a beast, and it's surprisingly light. It also doesn't look like an early 2000s gaming laptop like most still do. It's sleek and quiet. I do wish it had a bigger hard drive, but easy to offset with an external.

I like the fact that this machine is a BEAST but does not weigh or sound like one . My last gaming laptop was an absolute chore to lug around . If you are looking to game on the go or just lounge around the house this is the right machine for you .

I looked around for a long time before purchasing this laptop. Nothing compared to the price for the performance. Although people complain about how its made of plastic or its flimsy at the screen, you need to remember that this is a THIN machine and not a bulky Alien ware laptop. I enjoy the keyboard feel, the short keystroke and wide buttons really make it nice to type on. The screen is very clear and the colors look great.

Received this laptop as a gift and after a solid month of using it it's great. Comparable products was the Gigabyte Aero 15, but decided on this one instead. My previous laptop was a gaming one that was probably twice as thick and twice as heavy as this one and this blows the other one away easily. SInce it's only a 1080P and a 15" screen, you don't need to pump everything to max visuals even though the card can handle a lot. Personally, I like playing things on high to medium-high to take advantage of the 144hz screen. I've also been using it for editing work in lightroom and the screen is very usable due to the IPS & great color accuracy display. It may not be the best , but definitely good enough for the work I do. Laptop isn't too flashy either, which is a plus since I use this in a business setting sometimes.

This laptop is an excellent thin and light. It does have some thermal throttling issues, but those are easily fixed by a small undervolt. Even without that, the throttling isn't enough to affect games in most cases. Would definitely recommend.

I am not an expert on laptops and this one kind of intimidated me at first but after buying it and using it I can say that it was a great purchase. Very fast and does not get loud or hot.

Just got this yesterday and I love it!! it preforms a lot better than my previous laptop (hp Omen notebook 17) I am a big gamer and I can tell my games run smoothly on this laptop defiantly would recommend this laptop if you're a gamer yourself.

Overall this was an excellent machine. I travel and lugging my desktop around was exhausting. I was very particular about my pc because I need something capable of running WOW. This laptop delivered and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Some clear design flaws. (placement of the power plug relative to fans) Runs hot. Like super hot - Should I repaste? Dare I? Just starting out with this unit. Time will tell if it shall be a worthy replacement for my daily driver dell.

Very happy that I changed over to the MSI gaming computer, I am able to run all my programs that I need for school and also run games with no lagging. Also it being a light and small computer it makes it easy for me to bring it to class.
