I just got this laptop recently, and it runs amazingly smooth on all the games I want to play. I would not consider myself a hardcore gamer, but one of the games I play, pubg, is quite computer intensive. I was amazed to see that even on high settings, the laptop could run it extremely smoothly at over 100 fps. I also really love the 144 hz refresh rate, you can really tell the difference between a computer with a lower refresh rate and it feels amazing. The screen is very nice too, and the overall design looks awesome. The one complaint I would have is that the sides of the laptop get a little hot and that the fan can be a little loud when gaming, but honestly if you have your headphones on it isn't a big deal for gaming. Doing normal activities like watching videos or browsing the internet is usually pretty silent.

This is the perfect laptop for anyone who wants a gaming laptop without straining their back. I would highly recommend this laptop for a college student or anyone who needs a lot of portable performance. Pros: -All aluminum chasis with very little plastic. -Tactile keyboard with individual backlighting. The Steelseries software works great. -Clean and understated design (the polar opposite of Alienware). -The screen is not a TN panel and looks great. MSI's focus seems to be on color accuracy. The laptop includes software for color calibration meters. -Great port selection. Not many laptop of this thickness have 2 audio jacks or an Ethernet port. Cons: -Includes typical bloatware found on most laptops. -Watch out for hot metal. I would recommend setting the laptop on a table for more heat dissipation.

The keyboard has somethings that aren't so good but those things are expected (little travel). There is a variety of ports, screen looks nice, has a little flex in some areas, palm rejection is pretty good. Only reason not 5 star is flex, display and battery issues that occur sometimes but are easily fixed and when I got it there were somethings that seemed like it was damaged in shipping and stuff.

Great laptop for a college student. It can be used for all of my classes and allows me to game on the weekends. The i7 core and gtx 1060 are great and the material on the bottom of the laptop mitigates the heat transfer into your legs.

This laptop is absolutely awesome. I used to own a Dell XPS 15 because of the form factor, this is basically the SAME size and weight, yet is significantly more powerful for gaming, and includes a 144Hz refresh rate screen. I love it!

This computer was great. At first without the charger plugged in I was disappointed playing Fortnite, but once I popped that baby in it ran as smooth as cocoa butter on skin. The fans are pretty quiet and it's just an amazing product.

Purchased this alongside the Logitech G903 Wireless mouse, great laptop for a student like me who loves to game yet in need of a slim thin laptop to take to class and takes notes. Perfect purchase would not pick any other laptop.

This laptop is very efficient I can work with 3D programs very smoothie. Is very comfortable to carry because it size and weight. Overall is a powerful thin machine with an incredible monitor. The price is totally worth it.

This laptop is incredibly powerful, it has a top of the line mobile CPU, and a powerful max-Q GPU that delivers solid performance. It has strength to be a desktop replacement for me, as it plays all modern top games with a high fps. And, with the 144Hz monitor you can really enjoy the performance. The most important part however, is the sleek and subdued design. The Gold/black aesthetic is gorgeous, and the model is so slim and portable it's great for taking to class for notes, or the library for studying. For me this is the perfect fit. Complaints: The screen is not stable out of the box, as you push it back it wiggles and I fear that this will lead to some loose stability later. The laptop also has a habit of churning out a lot of heat (reasonably) and so the fans are often loud, and the laptop is hot under load. Modifying hardware is difficult because the motherboard is on top of the ram and drive. What would make this a 5/5: Expecting all of my complaints resolved at this price point is not reasonable. They did a great job and this laptop is near perfect for the budget that I put into it. The one thing that I feel should have been done differently is the motherboard position. It's always important to allow consumers to change these often customized pieces of hardware, and doing so with the GS65 is unnecessarily hard. Still I would highly recommend this laptop to everyone.

This laptop has been great, I use it for VR development and it runs like a dream. Good: The specs are top notch for the price, I've yet to run a game on anything less than the highest settings at 60 fps. Bad: The build quality is questionable, the keyboard dips in a bit when you're typing but if you're like me and plan on plugging in your own keyboard most of the time this isn't a problem.

This computer is overall amazing, it is the best for gaming and browsing. it can run the toughest games without a sweat. the MSI makes me feel like I'm actually inside the game. I would definitely recommend this computer.

I've just recently purchased this laptop after having a bad experience with another gaming laptop company and I can say I'm able to run my favorite games with very little heat and almost no interruptions in performance.

this thing is a beast! i have similar hardware in my desk which runs a tad bit better but man this thing is pretty and an awesome machine that plays games well! I'm not a giant fan of the keyboard but its still really good.

This has been my first MSI device and must say that it is an amazing piece of hardware. I have it dual-booting Linux and Windows and the flexibility and speed is amazing. Especially when pumped up to 32GB of RAM.

This is probably the best gaming laptop you can get at this price point. Pros: - Plays most current games at high\ultra settings getting 50 - 60 fps - Very nice screen - Super thin and lightweight design. Especially for a gaming laptop. Cons - Trackpad isn't great - Some people will hate the chiclet keyboard (I personally don't mind it) - Smallish SSD. 512gb fills up quick when you are installing a bunch of games. Also you will need an expert, or know what you are doing in order to upgrade SSD and Ram since you have to disconnect everything from the motherboard to get to the slots. Overall, This is the laptop to buy for someone who wants a portable gaming machine, that's powerful enough to play games at their highest settings.

I'm a student in college searching for a laptop that was acceptable for an engineering laptop. My parentals were also looking at the lenovo thinkbook p52 and I knew that I wanted something that wasn't chunky. The msi gs65 was at the top of my list since it was sleek for a gaming laptop and also provided a workplace-friendly aesthetic (its designs are subtle unlike the razer or alien logos). I genuinely like this laptop, and while I don't game, it still fulfills all my needs. The battery does drain out quite early since it is a gaming laptop, but otherwise, I'm quite happy with my choice in having this laptop. Currently, at this moment, I have a better laptop than all of my friends who actually game.

I fell in love with this laptop the second i saw it. I is ultra thin for a gaming laptop has amazing battery life for the power it packs, incredible display quality and fluidity and is overall, just an amazing machine.

I've been a long time user of gaming laptops and this is by far the best I have used. It's ridiculously light at 4.14lbs, very thin bezel, and really quick boot ups. Games run very smoothly and great for portable VR.

Really happy with the laptop but a couple things kept it from being 5 stars. The first thing was that the drive was partitioned into a C and D instead of leaving it as 1 big drive. The 2nd relates to the build quality, I had to exchange the first one I received because the right palm rest made a clicking sound when applying very little pressure to it (resting my palm when typing)

This laptop is just amazing, I havn't used a gaming one before but the performance and Definition is just amazing, the game play and frame rates are great and i can other things that help well with renders for work.
