This is an excellent computer. I purchased it with the intent of programming and it has worked great.

I recently decided to purchase my first gaming laptop. A friend highly recommended msi, and after some research decided to give this one a shot. Over the last couple days I've put roughly 12 hrs on it running various programs and games. So far it's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it on ultra. Screen is bright response time is good, my only complaint so far is that it does get a bit hot so I would recommend a cooling pad for it.

Absolutely powerhouse of a machine. Beautiful, fast, and everything you could possibly want in a pc.

What a great gaming laptop, everything I read about I was pleased to find true about the computer.

Being someone who has always used apple products I was taken aback when I first received the laptop, in a a good way obviously. Being an engineering major and a gamer, the mac was way below par to say the least and was holding me back specially in my engineering classes and obviously gaming on Macs is terrible as everyone knows. I just wanted to keep it short and just say that this is hands-down the best laptop I have ever used.

This laptop is sturdy, fast, and reliable. It will work great for school and for gaming on the side.

The laptop provides excellent performance and an adequate battery life considering the level of usage demanded by modern games. Battery life is much better on non-gaming activities but for gaming activities expect about an hour before you start to lose performance as the system throttles to extend the time. The main drawback is the trackpad which has been mentioned in numerous reviews. It's hard to overstate how useless this is, requiring you to have a mouse to play even the most basic games. It may be tolerable for non gaming activities but for a laptop designed for gaming you should have a trackpad at least serviceable for simple gaming. Just understand you will be required to have a mouse for any gaming activities.

Great computer for anybody looking to get into gaming and have a the fastest thing out of the box

The GS 65 is an awesome device. It quite powerful and the downsides are really deal breakers if you are a certain type of person. 1. The webcam, it's grainy, but good enough for your skype calls with your parents/friends. Not google enough for a conference call though. 2. The SSD - unless you are a intense filmmaker you should be fine with the ssd, even if uses a SATA interface. For everyday use such as gaming and downloading things this is plenty fast. 3. Build Quality- There is some flex, but unless you are super rough and intentionally flexing it it shouldn't break. My unit doesn't make any creaking sounds. For everything I didn't mention it performs admirably. I do recommend undervolting the GS65 though.

The aluminium is thin, but this keeps down the weight. If you really want something with apple levels of solidness, look elsewhere. Cons -fingerprint magnet Overall, I'm pleased with this laptop. It can handle pretty much any situation to a more than acceptable degree. I purchased this laptop for college and believe it will serve it's purpose well.

Packaging was excellent, elegant and professional. Outside of box sealed with tamper proof tape. Inside foam padding held the box which was very good looking in shrink wrap. Upon opening inner box the laptop was held in cloth wrapping. Opening lid the keyboard had a cleaning cloth to protect screen. Laptop itself is a high performing, beautiful and quality device. Battery life seems very good. Highly recommend.
