I purchased this laptop to replace an old Sony I had for years and it's no question, this blows my expectations away. I've had it for a little over a month and have had no issues. It stays cool and responsive. The biggest feature for me is the screen, I'm not sure I can ever go back to 60hz now. Everything feels and looks so smooth that playing games on a TV or my desktop feels choppy even with a GTX 1080!

This is a fantastic gaming laptop with great graphics and a pretty good battery for gaming!

Picked up this laptop for college as I was looking for something that could handle gaming and graphics intensive engineering software. This laptop has been able to do all that and more while impressing people with its sleek design and 1070 graphics card. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a desktop replacement even.

Overall a good laptop but partitioned weirdly. Has two recovery partitions and one Windows partition. Missing SD card slot. The headset port is not the regular headset port. Keyboard is fancy.

What attracted me most about this laptop was its looks, it looks like a professional laptop that wont get me laughed at in the boring office meetings,but will also pack a punch when I get home to game. The price is a bit steep though, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, and this laptop is absolute quality in every way. Love its aesthetics and love its capabilities, kudos MSI... Kudos.

This laptop is an amazing laptop to buy and can handle mostly anything you throw at it like VR games and video editing. This is one of the best laptops currently out there for this price point! I did have a few complaints about the laptop though: 1. The right and left wrist rest sometimes makes noise when I put my hand on it. However, this does not bother me, but it may annoy some people. 2. The laptop comes with a bunch of programs already installed. It comes with Norton and other programs, which made me have to factory reset. 3. There is a big gap between the laptop screen. It doesn't annoy me though and it's not really a huge deal.

This laptop provides great value for the price, and actually performs to specification. I am using it primarily for large CAD projects, mostly using Solidworks. As of writing this review, I have been using this laptop for 2 weeks and have had no major issues. Thermal management is surprisingly decent, even running both the CPU and GPU at near peak, using all 6 cores. My only complaints are that the storage is oddly divided into 2 partitions of approximately 256 GB each. Also, occasional the Steelseries keyboard RGB controller occasionally lags for an extended period, refusing to change pattern unxtil the computer is restarted, or after about 20 min.

After hours of YouTube reviews on the MSI GS65, Gigabyte Aero and Razer Blade 15 - I decided to pick up the GS65. I've only had it for a few days now, but have been happy with the performance so far. The keyboard is crisp, the track pad is smooth, it handles every game I throw at it and the design is aesthetically pleasing. You will want to remove Norton and other bloatware right away.

I bought it for speed and it's a speed machine! The keyboard is fabulous, too.

I use it for both school and gaming and it performs without a hitch. I can play AAA games no problem for many hours at a time. It has never crashed on me and is very portable, light, elegant and most importantly reliable. If you're looking for an all-around great gaming laptop this is it...

Only issue is that it heats up under load - 85+ c on GPU/CPU with loud fans at full which can be expect for such a small form factor.
