great laptop, only thing sometimes gets a little too hot when I take the fps cap off,

If you are looking for a laptop that can play just about everything, while also being extremely portable, look no further for this is the answer. The keyboard is a joy to use when typing, as well as gaming. It runs GTA V on high graphics, and call of duty looks amazing as well. My only complaint is that it does heat up, however, it has never overheated even after multiple hour long gaming sessions.

I picked up this laptop expecting to need a cool pad for gaming of really any sort, but I was pleasantly surprised at how cool it ran even gaming for long periods of time, it was definitely worth picking up its a wonderful machine.

My initial impressions of the laptop were absolutely fantastic - beautiful screen, great specs and overall ease of use. That's where it started to go downhill - as soon as I launched a game not only did the thermals skyrocket to a minimum of 92 Celsius, it struggled to keep up compared to base GTX 1070s. For some reason, these manufactors like to hide in the description that the video cards in these thin and light laptops are Max Q design. That's a whopping 25% decrease in performance on average. Don't believe me? Look it up on YouTube, "GTX 1070 vs GTX 1070 Max Q". Not only that, but the video cards themselves get weird side-drivers specific to them, so not only did I have that hit in performance, I CONSISTENTLY had compatibility issues in video games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Destiny 2 and even WoW - they would crash. As it researched this issue, the only commonality I found with everyone was they were using MAX Q GRAPHICS. So, unless you want a lot of issues with gaming, look into a full GTX 1070/1080 graphics card in a laptop, because all the Max Q is, is the M graphic cards in disguise.

In my opinion this laptop is in a league of its own, It's hard to compare even to the razer 15 because it's about $500 cheaper for the same specs. It isn't perfect but its the closest in its class. I'd like it if they shipped it with better thermal paste and a faster SSD. But that is understandable at the great price. If you are on the fence between the Razer 15 or the GS65..... Get the GS65!

I was hesitant prior to purchasing but boy was I wrong, This is an amazing laptop with all the specs to back it up, if you are looking at anything else or are hesitant like I was I would 100% recommend you purchase this laptop.

I recently purchased this laptop so I could game on the road. So far it has been flawless. The size is perfect as it’s not very bulky. Spec wise I don’t think you can complain for it being a gaming laptop. It runs flawlessly.

This laptop is not just a stunning piece of equipment but a powerhouse. I love the response, and overall experience. I have been an early adopter of tech since my teens and this computer has not left me wanting for ANYTHING!!!

I just bought the laptop today and im loving it! Everything about it is everything that I wanted in a laptop. If you are thinking about buying a gaming laptop I would with the highest recommendation buy this laptop.

Just got this thing, everything thus far is perfect! Did a lot of research to come to this point. If you're on the fence about the Aero 15x, XPS 15. I think this one takes the cake if your priorities are noise and form factor.

Loving this laptop so far. Every game is running smoothly and setup and installation was very straight forward and easy. Only problem I have had is that the CPU can get a little hot although I’ve ebeen told this is normal.

I bought this laptop for college to get work done easily and play games in my off time. It does just that with ease. Sometimes its a little noisy while playing hefty games, but overall it is an amazing product! Cheers MSI!

Love the display, fast fps rates on gaming but the only downside is the build quality, a bit flimsy for a laptop but everything else is what you really want for a gaming laptop. No other flaws. Loving everything about it!

I bought this computer a couple days ago after finally deciding to switch from a MacBook Pro 13" w/ TouchBar. I was looking for a thin and understated gaming laptop. This laptop fit the criteria perfectly: looks and feels like a "normal" laptop yet packs a big punch for gaming. I am very satisfied with this computer and will definitely consider another MSI in the future. Would by again.

Would definitely recommend this product to others. It is quite impressive that MSI was about to pack so much into a small frame. I also like the upgrade from the red outlining to the gold, certainly looks more premium.

Great Laptop. Best Spec for the price. only issue is build quality front right corner bottom cover has movement when you squeeze 1-2mm movement, and makes noise sometime does not affect laptop. everywhere else is solid.

This laptop is no ordinary laptop. Its extremely overwhelming how strong the laptop is! it gets hot naturally due to the graphics card and SSD but its performance is absolutely mind blowing! Worth every penny.

Great gaming laptop. Handles AAA games with ease. Very productive laptop as well. Loud fans, high temps and low battery life are the only flaws but that's the sacrifice you take for such a slim gaming laptop.
