Got this laptop on sale. With the sale was definitely with the money.

Build quality could be better but if you're careful you should be alright

Was surprised when I seen the sale price. Great machine for a great price.

Only complaints are ,that the screen isnt dazzling, and the charger is inconveniently large and heavy.

Extremely great specs but very low storage space. decent heat vent. Keyboard is alright to touch.

For the clearance price it was an extremely good deal if things went in my favor. Sadly my luck seemed to have been off. My version had power delivery issues and had a clicking sound near the GPU fan. CPU was always under .75 GHz even when plugged in. Ended up getting a newer version of it. Hopefully things go well with that.

It’s a nice gaming laptop, over heats a little but still really good!

Kinda slow and build quality is good, not great. I'll probably swap this out with something new in a couple of months from now. The SSD that this comes with is too slow for pro video/photo editing. An overpriced casual laptop when it comes down to it.

I had to return it because it had a black mark on the left side of the screen, the pixels were messed up or something :( if that wasn't there, I would have kept it, it was a decent speed!

Wanted a laptop for when I'm traveling and can't play on my gaming desktop, didn't want a 20 lb monster gaming laptop, saw this thing make a couple top gaming laptop lists, got an alert that it was on flash sale, so I snapped it up. Pretty happy with it so far. It's shocking how thin and light it is for how much power it has. Based on looks you would think this thing was an ultrabook or a business laptop, but I've been playing Far Cry New Dawn and it looks pretty much the same as it does on my desktop. Pros -Great performance -Great form factor -Great looks -Good IO -Silent when not playing games -Relatively little bloatware (I've seen much worse) -Nice keyboard and trackpad -Power brick is reasonable size (about the size of 2 smartphones stacked on top of eachother) Cons -Power port on right hand side of body (not an ideal spot if you use a mouse) -Fingerprints show all over the body -Norton suite preinstalled -MSI Driver update utility immediately made my wifi no longer work (fortunately I had created a system restore point right before updating drivers) -Gets warm when gaming -Fans make a bit of noise when gaming (far from the worst I've ever heard, I can tolerate it without headphones) -Battery life will not impress anybody (but it's a gaming laptop so no one should be surprised) -To upgrade storage or ram you have to take the bottom off, disconnect all the ribbon cables, and take the whole motherboard out

This laptop was given to me as a gift before I head off to college, so there were a few key aspects that I was really concerned about. The first was portability. Compared to other gaming laptops I've owned in the past, this one blows it out of the water. However, don't expect ultra book levels of weight. Another aspect that adds to the portability of this laptop is it's form factor. While the screen is a 15.6 inch display, the bezels are so thin that they were able to use a 14 inch laptop body to hold the components. The second thing I was really looking for was something that wasn't going to screen GAMER all the time. The black and gold coloring and the simple design of the body could pass as a premium mac book. The final thing I was looking for was performance, and this laptop doesn't disappoint. I tested out Metro: Exodus, one of the best looking games I've ever played. It ran at ultra settings at a solid 60 fps. The fans were fairly loud, but my headphones did a good job at blocking out their noise. Other than those things, the keyboard is very comfortable to type on and the extended track pad is very responsive and you can even customize the track pad DPI. The only real negatives I found for this laptop are the speakers, which have been placed on the bottom of the laptop for some reason, muffling the average sound that they produce.

This machine runs HOT and pretty much have to underclock right out of the gate. Recently I’ve been receiving blue screens/crashes on W10. I liked the product before, but the chassis simply doesn't have the appropriate air flow to handle the hardware. They went for top of the line components that simply are not viable for the small form factor.
