I needed a lap top that was top-notch for school. This computer met all of the requirements listed for the engineering students. I had a few options but this one stood out to me due to the smaller size and feel of the key board and track pad. I'm not a gamer but it runs well with the programs I'm using. You'll get your money's worth.

This laptop is everything I could ask for and more. From the sleek look to the ultra portability I can proudly use it for both work and gaming! The only negative I can think of is the fan being a little louder than I expected but that's just me looking for something to be a negative and not a reason to stray away from this beast.

I bought this notebook as a replacement of a Samsung gamer purchased in 2013. It was on sale at Best Buy and I decided that this was the right time to buy one. By then, it was practically the only one with these features such a RTX 2060 video card and a 144 refresh rate monitor. I am a Designer, so I need a gear capable to work with heavy graphics software to produce photo-realistic renderings. This notebook is powerful, it does all what I need and in a small format. Case feels solid, no cracking or bending as I read in other reviews. No light bleed in monitor edges as I experienced with other high end notebooks.. This notebook is powerful.! It flies from task to task with almost zero wait. and only gets somehow hot with intensive graphics. No too bad though. Only some minor negatives so far is that the position of the power cord connector is in the wrong side, as interferes with the mouse. Also some of the internals are clearly visible through the top grid. These are plated, so they should have been finished in black. Other than that, I am very pleased with this notebook.!

My first laptop was a MacBook that I got as I graduated high school that lasted through college but eventually died on me in 2013, I purchased a cheap desktop PC in a hurry to replace that post-graduation as I needed a computer but didn't have a lot of money. I like to play D3 & occasionally WoW and simulation games like Terraria and wanted something that could handle those and some more intense AAA games if I wanted to dabble down the line. I also work with data and wanted something with great processing power that could handle large data manipulation and statistical analysis software. I did some research and this laptop hit all three of my needs in one sleek package. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing and powerful and was looking at the Razer Blade 15's but an employee (Michael at the Mission Valley location) pointed out that I could get all the same specs with this product for a bit less. I haven't had it long but it is so sleek and powerful. I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I see this beauty lasting me a long while.

I Got this laptop for video and photo editing primarily because gaming laptops are the best for adobe premiere as far as a windows PC goes. However, I do play Video Games as well and it is a win win! This laptop has a sleek design and is very easy to type on despite the small keyboard. Even though this is my first laptop without the number pad on the side, which is taking some getting use to, the screen is the same size as the HP that i had. The display is unparalleled. And I enjoy the Customizable LED keyboard. The one thing that would have to say that I don't like about the laptop is that this is my second one this week. The first one had a problem with the sound card and I was forced to return it after loading all of my files and programs onto it, however, using my WD portable hard drive with the USB 3.0 was very quick seeing as I had already loaded 10 Gigs of photos and videos onto the laptop as well as a project. but this all transferred within 5 min.

As a gamer and a business major, i walked into Bestbuy with the intentions to buy a laptop that fits both needs. After searching looking and comparing i came across the MSI laptop. I tested it out there at the store, saw its features and the way it function. Immediately i decided to purchase it. Now, a month later of trying the laptop i definitely fell in love with it. It does not overheat when gaming, and its as fast when I am doing school related work. I enjoy the features it provides for me such as, Performance, Theatre and Regular. It gives me the option to switch out and around depending on what i will be using my laptop for. I take this beauty to class, while traveling, and on the road. It has not given me any problems so far. In fact it has surprised me everyday since i purchased it. It is a great laptop and i recommend it to those who have a busy life but also dedicate time to some high quality gaming.

Got this laptop to replace my 2015 Macbook Pro. Unfortunately the Apple ecosystem has left a little to be desired with lack of upgrades with the most recent models so I decided to jump back into the Windows laptop game. The stakes have changed ever since they started building high quality laptops, this is a great laptop for the money. The keyboard is solid, good keystrokes, and actually comfortable and responsive. Trackpad scrolls smoothly, responsive to taps and clicks. The body is a good build, it does creak a little bit on the palm rest which is kind of annoying, but not a deal breaker. The system is sufficiently fast and upgradeable which is a plus in my book. Although I've only had it for a few weeks, I do hope I can upgrade it in the future and keep it running for at least 3 years as I have my previous laptops. My own use cases include casual gaming, and photo editing, both of which shine with this. The fast disk means that large RAW files that are easily in the 50MB range each load quickly, the CPU processes changes quickly in CaptureOne. The biggest con, that I hope MSI resolves is the partitioning of the disk. It's very inconvenient to have the partitions separate for the OS being so large, and then a data partition. This cannot be changed unless you add an additional drive and go through a cloning/reformat process. Please change this in the future and do one single partition, or keep them next to each other instead of being split with the recovery partition in the middle, that way it's easier to extend and make it a single storage partition instead of two separate ones. It's also possible to add an additional NVMe disk, as well as 32GB of RAM, which is amazing these days with everything being soldered in. So it's possible to upgrade this laptop, to become even better for a lower cost than buying it with higher specs. Overall, I'd recommend this laptop to anyone looking at this particular class, whether it's for gaming, graphic design, or work.

I would definitely recommend this laptop to a friend. I scouted this laptop for a good two weeks and I finally gave in and bought it. I love the fact that it is so light and sleek compared to other gaming computers. The graphics card is amazing, picture is very crisp and smooth. I love the fact that I can take it with me everywhere, and play anywhere. I would say its excellent for someone that travels a lot. It does not only allow me to play games, but also run virtual machines smoothly.

Picked this laptop up on sale on Wednesday and could not be happier with the purchase. It's thin and light which allows me to travel with it for work, and it has the ability to play the latest AAA titles with the greatest of ease! So far I've only tried out The Division 2 on it, but it played it flawlessly. Going to throw a few more titles at it, but I expect the same results. If you're looking for something portable, but also a powerhouse, look no further!

Had to replace my older Lenovo after the Blue Screen of Death refused to be vanquished. I wasn't sure what to go with at first. I'm headed back to school, so needed something that wasn't as heavy as that 17" monster. The salesman, and an unknown shopper looking at towers next to us, both recommended this fine machine. It's light, its powerful, and running NVIDIA's GEFORCE RTX 2060! It's new, so these are first impressions, but loving it so far!

great gaming laptop for the money. fantastic keyboard on touch. love the large keypad . screen is 144 astonishing .600$ off this 2000$ slick travel gaming beast. could not pass on the deal . this is my second MSI. they r only making them better and slicker.

MSI really perfected the GS65 this year. Last year's model was pretty good, but the trackpad wasn't great and there was some flex on the chassis. Now the trackpad is glass and really large and there's really no major flex in the chassis. If you're looking for a thin and light RTX laptop, this is a great choice.

This laptop is awesome! Backlit keys, the trackpad is responsive, but I still use a traditional mouse for gaming. I bought this as an upgrade from a 8 year old desktop, and I couldn't be happier. Sleek design paired with a not-too-heavy weight, this thing rocks. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been looking for a powerful gaming laptop that can double as a business machine in public places and at meetings. The machine seemed to be the perfect fit. Now after a month of use, I am sure this was the right choice. The specifications are very strong and with the fans on auto they are almost silent during normal use. Cooler boost level fans are loud, but keep the machine freezing. There are two reasons this is not five star. 1. The memory comes with 16gb, but only one 16gb stick instead of two 8gb sticks. This limits the processor access to ram during intensive applications. 2. The mother board is inverted, so it is not easy to add ram or a second NVME drive in the spare slot. I was lucky and got this on sale.

I went to Best Buy with the intention of replacing my recently deceased Macbook Air with either a new Pro or a Surface. And then I talked to the Best Buy guys. I had done my research and never even considered (or heard of) an MSI computer before. Side by side with every other computer in the store the GS65 is not only the fastest they offered, but has a better graphics card and I can play Portal on it after my work is all done. Oh! And I can make my keyboard a rainbow. My husband is the proud owner of a brand new Macbook Pro and the two things I miss about my macbook are 1. That it is heavy and solid. It FEELS like a $2000 laptop when you pick it up and the GS65 doesn't. It's a little flimsier than the Macbook Pro. 2. The fluidity between Apple products. I loved handing off from my tablet to my laptop to my phone and back again. But definitely not a dealbreaker. I loooove it.

This laptop is one of the best computers I have ever owned. If you are in the market for a decent gaming laptop, you're looking in the right place. This thing can handle some decent games with relative ease, farcry 5, metro exodus for example. I am not a huge gamer and often run some much easier titles, but I think this could get the job done for the gamer on the move. As a laptop for anything other than gaming, it will out perform pretty much most other makes of similar price and size. Very happy with this laptop, cannot stress that enough. The finishes are awesome, and I am a big fan on the manufacturing quality. Speakers are a tad tinny, but who actually plays music for recreation listening from their laptop speakers? Sound from the headphone jack is great. All in all, this is an amazing device and I could not be happier with it. Would recommend to anyone in the market 100%

Purchased this laptop to replace a 1yr old Lenovo T480s w/MX150 GPU. The Lenovo's fan would come on ALL the time, even with most basic of games. I really have to push this GS65 to hear the fans at all. Great performance at only 4.1lbs!

I bought this on a limb and it by far out performs my 2017 macbook pro in everyway. Its slimb and easy to pack around, runs anything you throw at it, and looks amazing. 10/10

Great for gaming on the go. It’s light, well made with a great screen. It’s fast and looks and feels great, only down side is there is no sd slot and no space for a 2.5 HD. One spare slot only for a M.2 drive. Over all though I love it!

This laptop is pretty amazing, its thin, relatively light, and can be a powerhouse when needed. This is a great choice when you need something for work, school, and for gaming.
