I had sold old laptop for soemthing smaller. This one delivers big time. I like how its sleek and and professional in appearance compared to many other gaming style laptips. All around a solid laptop even if not a gamer. Remarkably comfortable keyboard as well

Pros: Very fast, powerful, gorgeous, excellent keyboard, wide and accurate touchpad, better thermals than previous version
Cons: Slight creaking when typing and carrying, touchpad sounds cheap when tapped
Overall: This system was so awesome that I talked my team into buying 10 for our projects. Keyboard is one of the best I've felt, maybe second to the Thinkpad line. Touchpad isn't as good as Razer but the keyboard smokes the Razer. Out of the ten my team has, the build quality is very consistent, unlike Razer.

This PC is incredible! Thin, powerful, light weight, and beautiful! Some users complain about finger prints but I don't really have any unusual or increased finger print issues. The 2018 model definitely had a 'squishy' casing but this one is solid. The graphics card will perform just as well as the 1070ti if not better. The power this has for the price and size, there is nothing that can compare!! Don't think about it, be about it! Get you one!!!

After extensively researching laptops for several months, I found myself debating between the Lenovo Y740 and the MSI GS65. The sale price ($1649) for the MSI GS65 2060 was the deciding factor.
I have been very pleased with this machine. The design is classy, inconspicuous, and subtle. I use the device for both gaming and productivity. I've been pleasantly surprised with the keyboard, which could have been a major deal-breaker. It's responsive and tactile; typing on it is great! Much better than Macs, which seem to have very soft keys.
The 144hz screen is vibrant, bright, and fast by comparison, especially for those of us who have not previously had a 144hz monitor. The built in Dragon Center is outstanding for both configuring your machine's performance and monitoring CPU temperature, GPU usage, etc. Using Throttlestop, a simple program, I undervolted the CPU 110mV. With the undervolt, I'm getting CPU temperatures around 65-75 Celsius while playing AAA titles at maximum or near maximum settings. With CS:GO maxed out, frame rates hover around 85 to 100 FPS. Unfortunately, the Best Buy configuration of this laptop has a single 16gb channel of RAM. If the RAM was dual channel 8 x 2, we'd probably see a 15-20% increase in performance. This is just something to keep in mind.
Overall, this is an attractive, stylish, powerhouse of a thin and light high performance laptop. Pricing should be a consideration - $1649 is a very fair price for this unit. I would hesitate to spend $2000 on it, though, mostly because of the single-channel RAM.

So this isn't my first Gaming Laptop or Gaming PC. This purchase replaces my much loved Alienware 13 r3 I purchased two years ago. I do content creation (print, audio, & video) and am called upon to do some light to medium editing from time to time.
This is my first MSI and I couldn't be happier with it. Compared to my last laptop, it's more than a pound lighter with a bigger screen and longer battery life (in eco mode).
I love the full RGB keyboard and easily made the transition to the new keyboard. I especially loved that I can reassigned the windows key to be the function key.
Sound is good, but a non-starter for me because I either use in-ear monitors or plug into bigger in-room monitors if I'm in the office.
So I mentioned FAST - so I had to edit a few 720p videos for a client - he shot in 1080p at 60fps and I had to edit and render down. On my 13 r3 rendering was slightly faster than real time, but on the GS65 - the 12 min video took.....just under 5 minutes. Needless to say that made me smile.
One the upgrade front - I was happy to find out the MSI didn't follow dell's cheap ways when installing 16gb in the machine via 2 8gb chips - oh now - MSI is awesome enough to back that 16gb on one chip and leave me an open slot (for the chip that UPS just delivered).
So the only downside, and I mean the only - micro sd slot vs real sd. - but this seems to be a trend with a lot of gaming pc's that I was considering.
So all in all,I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend folks check out MSI before their next purchase

I am a very picky person; I can easily get discouraged by ratings or by one little itty bitty thing that can be off. I saw sooo many good reviews and so many bad ones, and the bad ones obviously popped out at me the most considering that this was a huuge purchase. I was extremely skeptical when i dropped $1599 on this laptop.(At the time it was on sale) When it arrived I noticed that it was surprisingly light, which was expected, but wow...not bad for the specs it holds. I install what i needed to install and BAM!! I was hit with the blue screen of death. I was so mad but surprisingly an easy fix. The drivers were out of date. I update them and I give it my stress test. Holy crap! You will not believe how strong this thing is for only 4 pounds. PUB G at 80 fps! Rainbow Six at 70-80 on very high! Witcher at 75+ on high. This thing is amazing. Dont let the bad reviews get to you. Worse case scenario, MSI has got your back with their warranty. The display is sooooo gooood!!! Speakers are not the best, but i never used them for my previous laptops lol; headphones are the way to go. If you really wanna game with thing like crazy, i would recommend getting an external ssd. I bought a 1 TB samsung one and its the best thing for games in my opinion. I have all my games on there and no freeze or stutter.

Thin, less weighted with high performance. I love to play games on RTX 2060 and I got this for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this.

I been using the MSI GS43 prior to this laptop and I appreciated the thin form factor while having the dedicated graphic card for heavy gaming. Upgrading to this was a no brainier. I'm going to be basing my experience with this laptop compared to my MSI GS43.
Hardware: They're very similar in dimensions. With the 14-inch GS43 and its larger bezels coming close to how big this laptop is. The build quality is definitely better on the GS65 with more metal design. However, the GS43 has held up over the years, so I can't complain there. The keyboard feels shallower on the GS43, so trying on the GS65 is a pleasure. One downside is the lack of, or ease of, upgradability on this new laptop. Watching the tutorials on YouTube seems like a major hassle and potentially dangerous compared to the open and swap design of the gs43.
In terms of the screen, I didn’t notice too much color difference, but the higher refresh rate of this new laptop is definitely a plus.
In terms of raw power, there is really no comparison with the new intel CPU and RTX2060. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase, and having purchased it in stores, I have had the ease of mind of something was broken, I could easily return it.

I recently bought this laptop! I've owned it for about 3 days now and have played a few games such as PUB G, Aion, and Sea Of Thieves. This laptop runs each game flawlessly. Easy to use, and I love the accessibility with the Dragon system, to be able to control and optimize your performance.

After looking for a couple months, I landed on the MSI stealth line and then snagged this model when it came on sale.
Overall, if you are looking for a gaming laptop without screaming "I'm a gamer" ascetically, this is one of the best on the market. It has great battery life compared to competitors and it's definitely a great workhorse. I was genuinely surprised how much the 2060 packs a punch in this small chassis. The 144hz is a must have for gaming and certainly makes it easy on the eyes if you use this for long periods of time.
There are a few cons I have with it though... The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop so if you are wanting good sound quality, invest in a headset. The chassis is durable (and a fingerprint magnet) but I would have liked it to be a bit less flimsy. The biggest problem is the inverted motherboard. To install or replace storage devices/RAM you will need to unscrew and detach ribbon cables on the motherboard. A huge pain if you just want to add another stick of RAM.
Aside from its faults, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will keep MSI stealth line in mind when I plan to purchase another laptop.

Great computer lacks storage

I've only had the computer for a day and it continues to run perfectly. good price for the hardware inside and definitely worth the cost for the longevity it will provide (maybe a few years). however the storage is quite small for a computer designed to play higher end games that tend to take up more room such as Ark-survival evolved. however this can be overcame with the help of a exterior HDD of anywhere between 500gb and 2TB.

Incredible the amount of power this thing is packing considering how thin it is. I have owned a couple of gaming laptops in my time this is overall the most powerful one as well as being the most portable one, i wanted something that i can game on as well as use for school my last gaming laptop was a challenge to haul around in my backpack as it just barely fit in my bag coupled with the fact that it weighed 10 pounds made it really annoying to carry as it felt like i had a cinder-block in my bag, but this thing really brings it to the table the best of both worlds ability and practicality all in one. not to mention that if you arent gaming and choose to use it for say typing up a document, put it on power saver or comfort and a full battery actually has a really nice life.

i was looking for a laptop comfortable and strong in terms of specifications and with good desing.
I've been using it a couple of days and it's just what I needed, powerfull machine in a perfect size to carry to any where, it's kind of heavy but that is not a problem at all.
i really really loved my new msi laptop, it's a premium laptop.

Best Buy had a great sale at $1649.99 and I had some rewards saved up so I decided on this laptop due to it's versatility and portability. I like how at just over 4 lbs it can easily be transported. I do feel like it may require a hard case prior to placing it in my backpack. This unit would get 5 stars if it were built in a machined aluminum case.
I have not had a lot of seat time with it but the overall performance I have seen is impressive while surfing, Netflix, boot up and wake up times. I also really like the keyboard touch and feel, it reminds me of my Asus ultra book keyboard. Looking forward to playing something more than Asphalt 9 on it, which looked great and felt very responsive.
It's a great looking laptop that can do it all and go on the road. I would say the reviews I read really set my expectations well and I am glad I went with the GS65 STEALTH-006.

This laptop is awesome especially if you upgrade it with another 16 GB of ram. It will greatly improve the amount of FPS you get in games. This gaming laptop runs hot when using the i7 at max but with throttlestop you can easy tune it down in order to stay below 80 degrees. In my case i overclocked the graphics card with dragon center and run the fans with a custom curve. The frame rate in games is always 60+ if not 90+ and it stays fairly cool (<80 C). If your looking for a gaming laptop that is slim and light, this would be a good purchase.

Super fast at everything, almost every game runs at 144 fps 1080 can do some 4k gaming. Keyboard is very nice.
Pros: Tons of ventilation
Clean look for business
Killer graphics card.
Super fast SSD games loading screens last like 5 seconds.
so much more I don't have time to comment on.
Cons: Cheap feeling build quality. (But, I will take weight savings.)
there are some hiccups with audio issues that I have to troubleshoot but that is windows 10 for you.
