Build quality is the best ive seen for a laptop, and the cloth on the bottom is just awesome, i never knew i was missing that on a laptop my whole life. And of course, the hardware gives the performance you would expect. The steelseries keyboard is also a joy to use.

Keyboard "H" fell off while un-boxing. Otherwise pretty solid.

I have an MSI very similar to this one and the Steelseries keyboard is losing paint on the keys. This started within 5 months of my purchase. I am so disgusted. I buy a new laptop about every 2 years and still have 1 Toshiba and 3 Dell laptops sitting around the house. NONE of them has lost paint on the keys. Since I retired and don't have tech support any more I bought the Best Buy 2 year warranty. I was told my problem is "cosmetic" and won't be fixed. Really!!! $1,600 for a laptop with a crummy keyboard. I had this computer built to my specs and was so excited to have the latest and greatest. Grandkids were amazed at the color shifting keyboard. Thought this one would last 3 or 4 years but not so. I plan to buy another laptop this Fall and it definitely won't be a MSI.

I purchased this PC to replace my old Cadd PC and have to say I am amazed how much faster this PC is and the options available like HDMI viewing and portability, and processor speed are only a few of the benefits. A great buy.

It is a good laptop i really like it but the unic problem is the hardware actualizarion with windows i have to reinstall somo drivers for wi-fi and GPU to make the laptop reconice again those ones

The laptop is just the way I expected. Did a lot of research online before buying this laptop and it fulfilled my expectations.

If you are reading this review, it means you've done some research already and it's not beneficial for me to go into significant detail, but I didn't want to not offer up my thoughts on this specific model of the Stealth Pro (so I can sleep at night). The Stealth Pro-252 has a really bad display, there's just no way to sugar coat this fact. I'm very pro Best Buy and also MSI, but I am not a fan of the panel they paired with the rest of the spectacular hardware. The display of a laptop is where the rubber meets the road and impacts most every user experience. If you factor my rating without the display playing part in any decision making, I would give the computer 5 stars. That said, if you will not be comparing the display to any other computers and will not be using it for any creative work , like photo editing or content creation, you may be in a situation where it may not matter, but never ,absolutely never, put any other half-way decent computer display anywhere near this one. You will have buyers remorse. It pains me to say that there are much better (and similar) configurations elsewhere or it's worth an upgrade or downgrade if you are purchasing a Stealth Pro from Best Buy. I can help you avoid reading hundreds of forum pages and suggest that you avoid model numbers 001 and 252, which would be represented as, "GS63VR STEALTH-001" and "GS63VR STEALTH-252". I had talked myself into the purchase believing the display was something I could grow to overlook. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't make the same mistake. Pro Tip - Many stores have display models of this Stealth Pro and highly recommend test driving the display of this display. (No pun intended)

Ok, I just got this laptop for school and gaming. It is perfect for school since I have to run VMWare for multiple machines. But, I have to say, I thought it would run games alot better than it does. BF1 runs poorly even on low settings. GTA5 runs poorly on lowest settings which is the Normal setting. So what games are you all playing that it runs them on high settings??? I downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia drivers. I even tried rolling back to 3 separate versions. None of them improved the performance. Someone help me please.

Easy to start up and now I am able to download all my games. It runs so smoothly and after I posted it on my story everyone keeps asking me to hang and game. Mostly Goth chicks.

Bought this laptop for my son and he loves it. A very well built laptop. High performance, great graphics, nice aluminum back. Very satisfied.

you're planning to run it with an external monitor. The people mentioning how bad the screen is are dangerously under-stating it in my opinion. I knew it wouldn't be the best when I got it, but figured it would be passable for motion graphics work when I need to be mobile. This screen is unusable for design work. Completely. There is no viewing angle that allows rich blacks, and the closer you get to a nice black, the worse the white becomes. The mid-tones are mud no matter what you do and everything is hazy and washed out like you would see on laptops from the early 2000's. It's so bad that I wouldn't even want to game on it. You can't even calibrate it to be "acceptable". I would be embarrassed to be selling this machine at anything over $1000. Solely because of how bad the screen is. That said, if you plan on almost always running it on an external monitor and can put up with the coil whine (a whine so loud during a simple Windows update that my wife joked from the other room that my tea was ready), this is a decent machine. I can see where it would be great with a clean install of Windows as many have suggested. Over all, for this price, I would avoid this machine like the plague unless you're going to have it attached to an external monitor all the time, but at that point, why bother with an expensive laptop? I bought mine last night and will be returning it ASAP.

great specs, great brand, but HORRIBLE screen. The TN display on the laptop leaves the colors washed out and not good at all. Tried to overlook this issue, but ultimately returned it the next day. If the Best Buy version of this laptop didn't have that awful screen display in it, then I would have kept the laptop. If washed out colors do not bother you, then this laptop is great. Just wasn't for me.

im very happy so far. this is a very fast laptop. looking forward to playing games and making music with it.
