I just finished building my new pc and I love how simple it was putting everything in place on this motherboard. Was quick and easy and would definitely recommend for someone building their first pc. Compatible with some of the newest and best tech out right now and ddr5 compatible. Comes with great WIFI and Bluetooth so you wont have to worry about all the extra add-ons. Also would recommend for the all blacked out board look. Slick

    Best Feature Set B650

The MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI is one of the the best midrange priced boards for AM5. Its feature set is absolutely unrivaled when it comes to power delivery, connections, connection placement, and rear io for its price range. I am specifically very happy with the WiFi 6E and Bluetooth capabilities it brings to my pc. It is by far the fastest and easiest to use that I have owned. I also have absolutely no doubts that this board will last well into the future due to its build quality and many features that I don't use at the moment but may in the future. I originally picked this board out due to its power delivery which is stronger than the other budget B650 boards. My only issue is that the motherboard's bios is not as intuitive as the board itself and turning on AMD expo significantly slows boot time. However, with that being said, the bios is still manageable and unrestrictive. I look forward to using this motherboard for all of the AM5 lineup and would highly recommend this motherboard if it is within your budget or just above.

This MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk is the perfect foundation for a modern AMD build. I paired it with a Ryzen 7 and some DDR5 memory, and setup was smooth from the start. The BIOS is clean and easy to navigate—especially for tuning fan curves, enabling EXPO profiles, and checking temps. Build quality is top-notch. The board feels sturdy, the VRMs stay cool under load, and the heatsinks are beefy. WiFi 6E and 2.5G LAN are future-proof bonuses, and there’s plenty of USB ports and M.2 slots to expand down the road. What impressed me most was how plug-and-play the whole experience felt. Whether you're a first-time builder or a DIY veteran, this board makes the process simple without cutting corners on features. Highly recommended if you're going with the AM5 platform and want a reliable, high-performance motherboard without breaking the bank.

MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi Is Excellent

The MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi is an outstanding choice for anyone building a reliable, high-performance system, especially if you're looking to take advantage of AMD's Ryzen 7000 series processors. From its robust power delivery to its excellent connectivity options, this motherboard manages to strike the perfect balance between price and features. Performance & Boot Times One of the standout features of the B650 Tomahawk is its consistent and reliable performance. In my experience, the boot times are lightning-fast—around four seconds or less, which is significantly better than what some users have reported. I haven’t encountered any of the one-minute boot issues that others seem to mention, so this may depend on system configurations or specific BIOS settings. The motherboard's 14+2+1 phase power design ensures clean and stable power delivery to the CPU, making it perfect for gaming, productivity, and even overclocking. Pairing it with a Ryzen 7000 processor works seamlessly, and the overall system responsiveness feels excellent. Connectivity & Features MSI didn’t skimp on connectivity with this board. You get: 2.5Gb Ethernet for ultra-fast wired connections, Wi-Fi 6E for cutting-edge wireless performance, and Plenty of USB ports, including a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port. Storage expansion is also robust, with three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, which provide plenty of room for high-speed NVMe drives. This makes the Tomahawk an ideal choice for those who need fast storage for gaming or professional workloads. Cooling & Build Quality Thermals are well managed thanks to MSI’s extended heatsink design and their M.2 Shield Frozr system, which helps keep NVMe drives cool during heavy usage. The board itself feels solid, with a high-quality build and thoughtful layout. Installation was straightforward, and the BIOS is easy to navigate, even for less experienced builders. Final Thoughts The MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi is a reliable, feature-packed motherboard that punches well above its price point. It delivers excellent performance, seamless connectivity, and fast boot times without any hassle. Whether you’re building a gaming rig or a workstation, this board handles everything you throw at it with ease. For me, it’s been a smooth experience from day one, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a straightforward, high-quality motherboard. Pros: Lightning-fast boot times (4 seconds or less for me). Robust power delivery and thermal management. Great connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5Gb LAN, and plenty of USB ports. Ample storage with three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. Cons: None so far! If you're looking for a motherboard that just works—and works well—the B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi is a great choice.

After a lot of research, I decided this was the motherboard for my new gaming rig. I was really impressed with all the ports (tons of USB options) as well as the onboard video which performed quite well while I was waiting on my GPU to arrive. Had slots for everything that I needed, plus several extra. The build seems very solid and it was easy to setup & get running. The onboard wi-fi was a nice bonus and works flawlessly. Overall a great value for the price!

    Quality Motherboard for the Price

Had to buy a new motherboard because the Gigabyte motherboard I originally went with had a slew of firmware issues, and was very finnicky. Decided to go with this one, and I could not be happier. Of course, the motherboard could be a bit cleaner in the top right, but most higher end boards that would have that section looking cleaner for headers are far more expensive for the same number of features.

This was my first time building a PC and I went with this motherboard for my gaming build and I can say it was definitely easy to configure with all my parts and instructions, It has great features as far as the SSD heatsink that's built in and the many ports that are included which makes plugging in accessories a breeze without having to worry about space for them. The BIOS seemed very simple, as long as you know what each setting is, and it made my PC configuration just that much easier!

Great mobo, all the features you'd want in a mobo. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth work great and range through out my whole house from the basement where the machine rests. BIOS is super clean and easy to use. M-Flash super easy to use. MSI brings military grade durability to all the products they sell and it's apparent in their motherboards most of all. High quality machining through the board. Strong material for IO shield. Plently of space

My PC broke down randomly one day, and I had to scramble at best buy to get all the parts I needed to fix my PC. I bought this since it was one of the only mobos they had with an am5 socket. This mobo made the CPU install super easy to install since the am5 sockets have the pins built into the mobo instead of on the chip. It has all the QoL features like wifi, bluetooth, and loads of usb ports. (and a nice BIOS)

Really good safe option motherboard for ddr5 and new pc tech gameplay. Does take a little bit to boot up but overall accessibility, performance, and cooling is good. I returned it for another motherboard that had a better price at the time being the gigabyte b650.

I've had many MSI boards in the past and never had issues with them. This one had me pulling my hair out for a while and on the verge of returning it. THANKFULLY a new bios was released literally the day I was contemplating this, and the bios fixed my issues (mostly). Occassionally the board will take like 3 minutes to boot (no idea why) and then everything is good. Most times it reboots relatively quick, but could still use some improvements. It is stable once booted and has all the 'normal' msi features in the boot menu.

I've stuck with MSI Motherboards for a really long time because their BIOS is super nice, but this time there were issues with the motherboard that just really bother me, it has to do with the placement of some of the connectors on the board, mainly the USB 3.0, which on most motherboards that I have used, they put it at the bottom of the board for easy cable management, but this time they but it on the side, which if you have a beefy GPU, the wires get in the way, this is the first motherboard that I have used that uses a USB-C Connector and that has the exact same issue, it's on the side and can block big GPU. But you can work around it, it's just annoying to deal with. Other than that, its super nice, and nets great performance,

This new board has features I have never had before, like wifi and bluetooth. My last computer was from 2014. The instructions were detailed, even for those little peripheral pin hookups, and it installed very quickly. It has handled everything I have asked of it from paying bills and email to a marathon session of Diablo 4 (beta). MSI is a solid company with a good reputation. Just be aware there was some security issue with bios updates, dig into that to see if that was resolved before allowing MSI to push an update because it might not actually be MSI because someone hacked them and stole the security keys or something. I haven't updated my bios and everything runs great.
