Great Waste of Money!

Biggest disappointment

I thought my crashing problem was a CPU issue. It turns out the RTX 4080 does not like DirectX 12. This is a modern GPU designed to play modern games. New games don't run on DX11 anymore. Stay away if you're planning to play Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Cyberpunk, etc

Great card

I get 180+ FPS in MW2 in 4K on max settings. Never goes above 60C. Highly recommend this card or the Gaming X/Z Trio version. Going from a 1080TI to this was highly worth it. Glad I skipped the 20 and 30 series and waited for this.

Impressive performance given the TDP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic card. Running all but like 2 games at max settings, on 3440x1440 resolution, at 60+ FPS. Debatably not the best price-to-performance purchase but I *fortunately* was playing with house money - a 4090 would've had me $400 or more out of pocket. Make sure you have a PSU that can handle the load and double-check that you have enough cables to accomodate [3] 8pin PCIe connectors. Also double check your case, this thing is massive.

A good card

The performance and thermals are excellent, if you have the money to spend and need the extra speed, I would recommend. There are no water locks for this model, as of 8/18/2023, so if you are considering water cooling in the future, I’d recommend a 4080 FE.

Great gpu overall but…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still quality control issues with these cards , mainly the double fan berrings in the fans permaturely failing ( sure msi rma process will take care of that) amd sometimes overheating issues due to a misplaced thermal pad. Price itself not the best but gets the job done id you got a solid one
