Very good laptop

Have not tested battery life at this point in time. 360+ FPS in Rocket League, 50-60 FPS in RDR2, handles Fusion360 very well so far. Fans are loud, but when you don't have them manually turned to max, they aren't deal breaking. Only con so far is the screen. It looks great, but not very bright. I might have a hard time with this if i were in direct sunlight. Having the numpad is the primary reason i went with this size laptop, with that being said you should expect to sacrifice a little bit of space on the keyboard, although it's not so bad that it cant be gotten used to. Overall, I love this computer and expect it to take care of my gaming and productivity goals.

happy to try MSI after a history of Alienware/Dell

I am overall happy with my new MSI, but have noticed some minor annoyances. The fans are louder than my old laptop but do what they're supposed to do to keep everything cool. The keyboard RGB color scheme is less intuitive to adjust than the Alienware Control Center equivalent. MSI control center is overall less polished than the Alienware equivalent. Getting into the back of the laptop requires removing several more screws than my old Alienware, and the laptop shell is more difficult to work with (I managed to get it open and closed again to install a 2nd m.2 SSD drive, but am not looking forward to opening it up again). Minor quibbles overall and not problematic enough to make me regret my purchase.

Excellent

That is the best one I have had so far, that is for sure. Though, for its price, I wouldn't expect it (sometimes) to freeze on the opening screen (where you enter your pin code to access the laptop).
