I picked this up for the Switch, as with the XB1 or PS4 I have other options, & I just wanted a portable football game that was a little newer than my Madden on my Vita. The game play is basically like the old school Blitz, arcade-ish & fast with repetitive commentary. It has all of the managements features like a Madden game, (sign FA, cut/trade players). With each season win you’ll gain $$$ & XP, which allows you to upgrade your a squad into championship team. Which will come in handy after you sign FA’s & the trade deadline ends, because as you will learn, players will get injured very fast lol so you need to keep the backups XP up so they can be good on the field as well. The only really con that I’m currently having with this game is the substitution option, as players won’t go in the game when I try to sub them in. But that could be a update fix.

I had a great time playing this but I will admit I'm not a big sports game player. I remember playing this series on genesis back in the day and it is true to the original game. I had to go to Austin for a work trip and I brought my switch. I hooked it up to the Hotel TV and had a great time playing with people I met there. Was a great time.

Not like there are many options for American style football on the Switch but Madden hasn't been good in years so we aren't missing much. This captures the fun of the older arcade style football games like NFL Blitz. Anyone looking for over-the-top football fun will enjoy this one.

Remember Blitz? The classic arcade football series back in the heyday of arcade sports games? Gone is the era of the EA BIG games, but Mutant League Football is a spiritual successor to that crazy, arcade, frantic fun I'm not a big Madden fan, so this game is great to get some casual fun in a football setting. Super fun local multiplayer!

I'm more of a Blood Bowl player when it comes to football games, but I decided to give this one a shot. It's more a traditional styled football game but with crazy additions like traps and dirty plays that are encouraged. Not bad.

Pretty fun football game overall. If you are looking for a modern day blitz this is it. Even has the old blitz announcer. Sometimes the dirty tricks get annoying but you can turn them off. Dont play this around the kids :)

Very fun esports title. I do not play full featured sports video games. This however adds cool character models, and short bursts of gameplay with simplified choices for plays. I got at a great price, and am not disappointed.

This game is really fun. I constantly travel for work and always bring my switch with me to the airport and this game brings me hours of entertainment. It definitely kept its originality from the Sega Genesis version. I let a friend of mine play it for a few days and he loved it and is not even a sports game fan.

A fun game, even if you’re not into football. It takes me back to the 16 bit version I had as a child. Lots of adult language, so you might not want to give it to your younger children.

A lot of fun and non-stop laughter playing this game! You may get a little mad when you are getting your butt kicked all over the field, but at the same time you just have to laugh at the commentators bashing you! If you were a big fan of NFL Blitz, this is the game for you!

If you like to collect this game then sure but as for gaming I consider there a good game to try out but to own I would get a used game first of this to try.

Mutant Football League is a spiritual successor to the original Genesis game and the NFL Blitz series. The sports action is fast and frenetic, and the team names are hilarious. If you want a sports game that doesn't take itself seriously, I'd definitely recommend this.

Ok game, kind of gimmicky but still fun. Honestly only played it a couple times when company came over and had a decent amount of fun.

This game reminds me of the 90s arcade football games. I prefer these to Madden and this game is just a lot of fun! Funny commentary amd just a good football game overall. Also you can even bribe the refs. Just plain fun, and it is portable on Switch.

I'm getting tired with EA Madden. This game is fresh, fun, no rule and unique. If you are big madden FAN this game is NOT for You. It's nice PORT for the Switch

I played the original MLF. This updated version is just as fun and funny to play. My and my kids enjoy destroying the refs, or blowing up the DB that intercepts my bombs. If you enjoyed this decades ago, enjoy this updated version as well.

I'm a grown adult and love this game. It is not easy let's start with that, but it's not like it's because there are a hundred buttons like Madden. It's just not easy but that's great. A lot of fun and very unpredictable which is great!

Great Gift for Sports Fans with a sense of humor, especially if they remember the old Mutant League games on Genesis back in the day.

This is a fun arcade sports game, the commentary does get a little bit old, but the game reminds me of the NFL blitz games. A lot of fun.
