For those that don't know, Muv-Luv Alternative is part of a series of Visual Novels, VN, from Japan. VNs are basically illustrated stories where you make choices throughout that determine the route/story that happens. If you don't mind reading a TON, I highly recommend trying out this game as well as the CD. It's never been released outside of Japan, so you'll have to obtain it for PC along with the English translation packs. This title has the highest rating of any visual novel ever on the Visual Novel Data Base, VNDB, out of over 15,000! Adult version does have two scenes that are omitted from the all-ages version. As the title implies, this is the 2nd volume to Muv-Luv Alternative and features some of the more action-packed, serious, somber, and fearful tones which tend to dominate the later half of the game. Tracks 17 and 27 are the only ones which actually have lyrics/vocals. 17, Carry On, occurs in one of only 3 cutscenes from the game when the bulk of humanity's forces are launching into orbit for one last attempt to destroy the original BETA hive. I'll have to admit that I cried a bit when first hearing/watching this one. Nice, slow song that really goes well where it's placed in the story. 27 is a redo of the opening song for the original Muv-Luv/Muv-Luv Unlimited game. Much more upbeat as the original is more of a high school love game where it's ordinary Japan instead of a world on the brink of extinction. This CD is definitely great, and I'm glad that I bought it. I probably could have gotten it cheaper by importing it, though :/ I highly recommend picking up the soundtrack volume 1 as well. The opening theme by JAM Project is a huge favorite of mine, too! Enjoy!
