    iPad, purchase and screen protector

    Buying the iPad was very easy and we had a nice girl help us, but putting the screen detector on with another story first we went to the geek squad. They were too busy. They sent it to the phone part and they were too busy. Then we ended up going back to the geek squad And finally got it done I think it took 45 minutes at least to get it done. Kind of got the runaround in the store.

    Old, rewards new ways to charge

    I like the old rewards program. You paid one fee, and that was your rewards program for the 2,3,5 years, whatever program you got,or paid for. Who would still get the lowest price? If you you would find one lower, you will still get a lower price. Now, with this program, we have to pay every month, which doesn't make sense. I think it's just so you guys can make more money. I have gotten a $10 gift card. I try to go use it once but I couldn't. And once I tried to walk in the store for some reason, it disappeared, so I never tried again. I really don't see any benefit from this program.

    15-20 years ago I used to buy from Best Buy all the time. As online retailers grew, Best Buy's prices kept getting more and more expensive and my experience with them became worse. They kept pushing warranty plans, they were focused on money and not the customer so I stopped using them. Over the last few years they have become more competitive, have started carrying more things I use and love (technology, computer parts, etc..). This membership plan has already saved me money on electronics.

    Why am I paying money for this?

    I would give a better review if it was just about the customer service, but i specifically got this in case anything happened with my daughters new tablet i bought at the same time. Little over 2 weeks later the tablet wont turn on. Everyone tells me its probably a manufacturer defect, but i need to a schedule an appointment with Geek Squad cause blue shirts cant if it works or not. So i schedule an appointment and make time out of my day to come in and have someone in a black shirt take a look at it and tell me the exact same thing, but they dont do repairs in store, so they will.have to send it out and i should have it backnin 2-3 weeks. Ive been keeping track of the status and not only are they not done confirming its a dud,it hasnt even made it to the repair site yet? Its been 20 days. You ask for a review on my membership, and i tell you if this is the kind of treatment you get if you pay for it, i shudder too think what normal customers deal with. Im not confident i will be keeping this membership.

    This membership has paid for itself. We've only had it a short time but it was worth it for us because of items we needed to purchase. When buying our TV the young man that helped us was very knowledgeable.
