When I signed up for the My Best Buy Plus Membership it actually saved me money on that purchase! Then it gave me future discounts on all purchases! So far the discounts I have received on my purchases has outweighed the cost of the membership.

Cost 50 bucks Not really a fan of this so far but withholding my judgement. There might be some silver lining to this but just dont see it yet.

I spent well over $10k purchasing equipment for a cruise line. $50 in savings in over $10k in purchases really isn't that great. Being realistic, this membership feels like a method of subsidizing keeping stores open. Which is fine, I don't mind that. I'd rather pay. $50/year to help keep BestBuy open and accessible vs have them close since they have no real competition. But offering it as a platform to save really isn't that accurate. It's just a money grab.
