The bass, in particular, is described as deep and powerful. Setup is also said to be a breeze, making it easy for users to get started. At its price point, customers feel they are getting great value for their money. On the downside, some users have experienced connectivity issues, with the audio occasionally cutting out. Others have had problems with the rear speakers, while a few find the infrared remote control to be limiting due to its line-of-sight requirement.

Don't but unless you do a warranty
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As much as i paid for this unit it didnt live up to expectations. I had to geek squad it for an exchange within 6 months of ownership. I got the JBL 9.1 which is far superior than this.

Good sound, wireless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound with wireless subwoofers. The satellite speakers connect to the subs which are in the back of the room and the soundbar takes care of the front 2.1. A lot of modes and support for Dolby Atmos. Everything you need for great quality sound at a good price.

Amazing sound...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly an amazing system. I've had it set up now for a few months and the Dolby Atmos is amazing. I've got another set up in my basement and this system crushes it and was less money. Set up was super easy and although I wish the remote was smaller and had less options once you learn it, it really is easy to change between the set ups you want for different viewing/listening options. Top Gun Maverick sounds amazing by the way... ;)

A Little Laggy in performance & quality, yet OKAY!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is great in regards to movies and games. Design is pleasing. Bass is excellent, but distorts around level 40. Surround is great but ATMOS is not convincing. Remote has serious lag in communication with the sound bar. Input detection has pauses in both video and in sound in the beginning. While watching vudu via the playstation 4, the soundbar went into standby mode on one occasion. The quality is okay, it does not feel premium ... it feels common - plastic and common. IMHO, current pricing around 1K is too much ... 500 to 600, so if you can catch a refurbished unit in like new, perhaps consideration. At a minimum, having a sound bar with a dedicated base component and two back rear surround speakers is where its at for beginners. If our room would have allowed a dedicated component system, that is absolutely premium sound reproduction for surround and ATMOS. Item had excellent presentation and rock solid packing for surviving the rough handling of shipping.

Bang For Your Buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my 7.2.4, worth every penny. I have a LG CX48 and Playstation 4 Pro hooked up to it. The hardest part was getting the ARC to work properly. The subs have cut out once since owning but was almost unnoticeable. The DTS, Dolby, etc all have their strengths and weaknesses to have options is awesome. It does take a while to dial in your sound to your taste. The HDMI ports run a bit warm but i keep a fan on it like I do most of my electronics. Compared to my Bose and Samsung 5.1 it is amazing. I love bass but have to keep it at zero or 1 when someone is home. Its not muddy or flat. Very close to a theater bass and clarity. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great home theater system long term this is where it is at

Great soundbar set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome system with amazing sound quality. I considered a few 7.1 systems including this and JBL, but am happy with my choice. The dual subwoofers are great for bass lovers, and overall setup and configuration was a cinch.

Fantastic Sound! Worth Every Penny!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a ton of research before buying the Nakamichi - 7.2.4-Channel 800W Soundbar System with Dual 8" Wireless Subwoofers and Dolby Atmos and this system is fantastic. My wife says that she feels like we're at the movies. I'm a music lover and the bass rumbles and is perfectly balanced with the mids and highs. If you're tv supports ARC this makes the setup and experience even better. I thought this might be too much for my small living room space but I'm so glad I made this purchase. I highly recommend this system.

Hands down the best sound bar on the market.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this system for a few months now and I was honestly skeptical at first. I've had a few sound bars with subs and they have never really pleased me. That's where Nakamichi comes in. As soon as I set it up, I had to throw on a movie to test it out. I actually had to turn the bass down for the first time ever lol. Over all, all ranges are amazing, stuff I never thought I'd pay attention to, is flying all around you. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a surround sound system of any size.

Exactly what I was after.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent speakers. Opening these speakers up, you definitely notice the quality. These things are solidly built and have some weight to them. I love the benefits and versatility of a sound bar with a dual subwoofer design (especially the wireless to sub feature). The setup/interface left some to be desired with the limited screen text, but was manageable (It is a sound bar and in the field of view of my projector screen, so I like that there isn't a bright screen display on at all times distracting from the picture). These are no nonsense speakers that produce GREAT sound at a very reasonable price when you figure that the sound bar substitutes as a receiver as well.

Best Soundbar on the market!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You will not regret buying this 7.2.4 Nakamichi Sound bar package. This is a straight up top-quality immersive home theater system. The bass is absolutely BOOMING with the 2 sub-woofers, vocals are clear and it's very easy to set up. Spend some time to upgrade the firmware and play with the settings. Believe me, this home theater is definitely worth the price! You cannot go wrong with it!

Loved the system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system, Was hesitant and really researched quite a bit. Only thing I was bummed about was my ARC but it was my old hizo tv model not nakamichi. I was still able to connect it via BT, and it still sounds awesome. Bass rocks the room, sounds fly all over the room. Very glad I went with this system, I purchased the warranty just in case, and I’d recommend the same since it’s a large investment. Do yourself a favor, and if your in the market, you just can’t beat this system.

Don't waste your time or money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One star only because it forced me to in order to write a review. Absolutely worthless, do not waste your money. Seemed to be an awesome system, until the sound bar went out. Subwoofers and rear speakers continue to work fine, but worthless without the soundbar speakers not working. Nakamichi used to equal Quality, but that just isn't the case any longer.

Great Speaker System
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old Bose home theater speaker system with this and it sounded great. The price range compared to higher end speaker system with respect to the sound quality (with Atmos) is significantly lower. Although there's a noticeable minor issue to some, I still have it rated as 5 as it did not bother me. The issue is 2-3 sec of no audio only at the very start of the movie or when changing audio settings.

Absolutely love this sound bar!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this sound bar about two months ago now and I love everything about it. I have mine paired with a Vizio MQ7 (2021 model) through the earc port on the tv. As far as setup goes unboxing this was very easy and the included instructions were very detailed and helped me setup the sound bar for my size of living room as well as helped with deciding which way to orient the rear satellite speakers (I have mine in the middle position). Once set up and everything tuned to how I wanted them I got to trying a variety of content in the time since I've gotten it. As far as non 5.1/atmos content goes the sound bar does a decent job of trying to make it seem like it is 5.1 but there is of course a very noticable difference between native 5.1/atmos content and 2.1 content. The system does do a excellent job of creating a immersive surround experience, you'll hear creaks of doors or voices to your sides or behind you and it really helps you get into the movie/show that much more. Now as far as the Subwoofers go I'm not exactly a audiophile myself so I can't say how good they are at low frequencies and all of that but I can say they are very punchy, you defiantly know that the subwoofers are there, explosions in content or just the rumbling of a engine or whatever else you really get to feel it. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and I'd say the only real con to this system is the fact that the hdmi ports are 2.0 rather than the newer standard of 2.1 and the system only supports ARC rather than EARC but I already knew this going into the purchase. I constantly enjoy showing guests this system and they are always impressed with how great its sounds.

pleasantly surprised...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a decent sized living room, and I was between a soundbar and an actual 7.2.4 home theater setup. The problem with our living room, which is an odd rectangle shape 30ft x 17ft, is that where we sit can differ depending on the living room furniture. We weren't totally committed to keeping our sectional which takes up 3/4 of the room and may downsize in the future, giving us a different spot to put the tv. This would be a problem with a traditional setup since everything has to be hard wired into the wall, and mounted. That led us down the path of soundbars, and while I was looking for dolby atmos functionality, it wasn't a necessity. What I was really looking for is a big sound profile, and this certainly is it. This system brings the theater into the home, with earth shaking bass and clear mid tones and high tones. It gets pretty loud for my size living room, and I love it so far. The only complaint I have, was that I had an old router and it interfered with the wireless sub and speakers. It caused it to fade in and out and had lots of static, I upgraded my router to an IP6 version and it no longer interferes with the speakers when I'm watching a movie. This is a common problem since the wireless speakers operate at 5ghz, and if you don't have a device that can move to a different frequency, it will cause problems. It was a small price to pay for the ability to move my living room around if I need to, unlike a traditional home theater setup. The sound did need to be tinkered with out of the box, but it allows you to save a couple of profiles and I made one for just watching tv at night (its way clearer than my tv speakers, so I turned off the bass for that while my kids sleep) and a profile for watching movies I found the bass was not loud enough and the wireless speakers needed to be louder. If you're looking for a big sound, this is a great option.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a Electrostatic speaker system with the Nakamichi 7.2.4 Setup was easy and explained in the supplied manual. This was used to complement a 4K Samsung Ultra TV. The sound is superior to my Electrostatic System which had an initial cost of more than $6000.00. I have been using the 7.2.4 for approximately 2 months. I am pleased with my purchase of the 7,2,4. I highly recommend this system,

Great purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds really good. Bass is deep and clean, and when I listen to music I can pick out each instrument. I don't encounter distortion at high volume either.

Nakamichi 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pulled the trigger on this system earlier this year and after I figured everything out, it is amazing. Just give yourself a couple days to learn all of the settings. I fiddled with connections, cables and media until I finally saw the front display say DOLBY ATMOS. Trust me, the spacial audio feel is amazing. The bass is booming and clear. I'm totally happy with my purchase.

Far better option than a full HT system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product; simple to use and set up and definitely delivers excellent sound. For years I used full home theater systems, but got tired of their intrusiveness in the room with wires everywhere. This sound bar solves those problems and at a fraction of the cost. Biggest surprise is the bass... it's clean and tight, not the least bit boomy and doesn't rattle everything in the house.

Power and quality sound in a soundbar system. Win!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been searching for a long time for a wireless surround sound system that I wanted to install in our living room. Before moving to this smaller home I had a dedicated home theatre with a Yamaha and Paradigm true 7.2 system setup. That system was not going to work in the smaller room it was going to. I looked at various systems and struggled between cost and value because I wanted great sound. This Nakamichi 7.2.4 system fit the bill perfectly. The sound is great to begin with however the system allows enough tweaking that I could fine tune it to my preferences. I have tried several Dolby Atmos movies in the 6 weeks since I installed this and it still surprises me on how good it sounds for the cost. For perspective my Paradigm sub cost more than this entire system. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this system if you are in a room where you can't easily run wires to satellite speakers or subs. Heck even if you can, go ahead and take the plunge. It's a great system that rivals ones costing much more in this category and doesn't disappoint.
