    I want to like these, I really do. It is a great concept and really has potential to be a great product but the quality of the hardware is horrible, especially for the price. The regular light panels work just fine but I have had a 100% failure rate with the control squares. Sometimes they last a few hours, sometimes they will last 2 years (slightly over the warranty period) but they are guaranteed to break. If you are going to buy one of the Smarter Kits, do yourselves a favor and buy an extra control panel directly from Nanoleaf, that way you have one on hand when the original inevitably quits working. And don't expect much with the warranty.
