I bought a few sets of these to add some color to my streams and online content. I had heard the stories about how bad Nanoleaf support was but I though people were exaggerating. THEY ARE NOT. My controller would not reset so I reached out to Nanoleaf and was told that I needed to send mutiple videos showing me trying to hard reset the device, after doing that I was told the video did not show enough and they asked for more. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP. STAY AWAY.

Don't waste your money. Always has connection issues. Have reset this device way to many times to get it connected back to my network.

I am truly blown away by this little set up. I was hesitant at first sight about these mini triangles, but wow what a powerful and fun punch of color these add to your room. Our favorite feature is how it responds to music, movies, sounds or even your voice. You can set custom scenes and colors, or you can choose their pre-set themes. It’s such a fun addition to our home, and the kids enjoy it too. It was extremely easy to set up and use the app. We haven’t permanently placed it on the wall because we can’t decide in what room we want them in. Basically we are at a stalemate because we all want it as a permanent fixture in our rooms. They are super pricey for the amount you get so we will be slowly adding more units/shapes to our setup. But if you’re on the fence about these lights, grab them! Very cool.

I appreciate when my favorite video bloggers have an amazing background. Usually by way of some sort of complicated setup or advanced LEDs and out of reach of most folks who don't want to whip up a custom LED array. No more. While Nanoleaf kits are a bit pricey, a smaller kit still produces absolutely stunning results, especially when combined with acrylic stands or other setups that catch the light. An array of 5 Nanoleaf triangles totally transformed a corner of my office into a touch-sensitive, sound-responsive lightshow. When paired with music or paired with a TV/projector setup, these amplify the experience to something near magical. Poetic? Maybe. But light makes a huuuuuge difference in a space, and these are really clean and easy to set up, mount, and control. The brightness (which can be modified) and depth and range of colors is fabulous. They're matte white on top which means the color and light are softened and ambient as opposed to harsh points; the light is also very evenly distributed across the surface. Once mounted, you can rotate the triangle in a circle around the mounting point. The only slight issue was unboxing the first set for the first time - you really do need the app to figure out how different pieces can be connected AND you need a Starter Kit to get the power supply and connector, but the app walks you through all that. If you're buying these for the first time, just make sure you have at least one Starter Kit (like this one). Pairing these with a Hue lightstrip or other color bulbs, you can create a really atmospheric gaming or media room, or even just a really nice office/backdrop for your Zoom meetings. The combination of shapes and squares and hexagons and differently sized triangles allows you to make some fabulous shapes (even a brand logo or game character). This makes advanced lighting displays really truly possible for hobbyists for the first time. You can slowly add to your collection and design something truly stellar. Adding some customized light to a playroom corner or shelf to highlight toys is made safe and simple with this (as opposed to cutting LED strips to size or creating some duct-taped combos of spot lighting...) All in all: an excellent starter kit and one that will help you appreciate the possibilities that Nanoleaf enables.

Too small for price. Not easy to move as you will need new adhesive pods. Connects well but you would need at least a couple of other sets to make a lighting impact. Better options available.

Cool but only certain shapes of the different nano leaf LEDs connect. So sad
