Not much has changed since the last iteration except for another dumb career mode storyline

2K17 wasn't really as great as an invest as I thought. The game is kinda horrible !

The current number one franchise for nba. They've got a monopoly on the market but NBA LIVE 16 made an effort last year. Looking forward to their 2017 version in January. NBA2K always feels like the same product just repackaged.

I can go on at why this game is a very bad game. For starters, the rubber banding in the game makes it unplayable. You could be up 20 points against someone online and all of a sudden your team doesn't play defense, miss wide open shots, and your opponent can all of sudden hit everything and play perfect defense. This happens pretty much every game which makes it unfun to play. It's like they have to help bad players by giving you a handicap to balance the game which is horrible. There's also 2K as a company which doesn't care at all about you as a customer. The game also has problems as it's buggy, glitches, too many fouls, unbalance in shooting, poor design choices such as MyTeam blacktop, and alot more. Play at your own risk.

Game is OK I dont like that they barley let you draw contact while playing defense on the center

i wanted to trade it in the next day. it's the same garbage as last year. graphics continue to get worse... people in the crowd look like they are from ps3... the cheerleaders look like they are from ps2.... every player looks like they share the same body frame... i could go on. the gameplay just feels the exact same.

I'm not entirely sold as the reviews 99% recommended and 4.8 stars suggest. NBA2K17 certainly has channeled prior failures and success into this one. Great job with upgrading graphics and customization options...superior! The fluidity of motion is smooth and realistic. Shooting is no longer automatic for dunks and layups...oh, nor is free throws for the most part. However, I'm not a fan of the pull down and release analog free throw bar. Much rather the button release. The crossover analog is funky...because crossover is push left on analog but jump shot is push right on the same stick. This can be irritating. If you go through MyCareer...I hope you have lots of patience. The game play is only minutes long, but the games role playing dialogue's are Looongggg, which you can't fast forward or skip and certainly will turn avid gamers away. And the loading time's are horrendously slow. The game is set to deliver the most realistic game play known to man, and it has done that. You want to get better ratings? Good. Well you need to hit the gym and practice in order to do so. There's much more involvement then just playing each game.You really can't beat the realism and smooth motions offered. Even online play is smooth. However, it still has major irritating downfalls that downgrade it's rating.

NBA 2K Updated Graphics and smoother game play. Good Basketball game for the NBA Fan. AI needs improvement but overall provides good value.

NBA 2K17 keeps raising the bar for sports simulations, hands down the best sports game on the market. The gameplay seems to get more realistic every year, love the addition of David Aldridge to add that extra touch of realism. Great game, if you're a basketball fan pick this one up!!!

NBA 2k17 is the best game ever. The commentary is gets greater ever year. It's like you're watching a NBA game. Features are amazing. I really love the series alot.

I love this game. It's pretty much the only thing I play on my PS4. I'm mostly an offline player so I can't speak about online. There are some things that I don't like though. The A.I. seems a little too simplistic sometimes. And I don't like that the MyPlayers have access to things that the 'normal' created players don't have access to. It guess it makes sense from a business perspective (players buying VC for their MyPlayers which gives 2K more money), but I don't like it. That's just personal stuff. Other than this is a must have.

This game is the best in the franchise in my opinion. The storyline for my player is far better and more advanced than the previous version.

The release of NBA 2K17 was met with a little skepticism on my part, I won't lie. While the series is one of the best there is in sports games I've always felt like there was room for improvement. Little by little, year by year, the developers have done just that. They have improved on everything I hoped for and more. You've got to play this game if you are even a sideline fan of basketball. There are so many deep options of gameplay I'm not even going to cover here. The animations; dribbling, court traffic, stealing, passing, etc are stepped up to an even more realistic degree. No longer will your half court pass bee-line its way to the player intended. The ball has actual physics now and it's really apparent when first starting out. I found it to be frustrating but then rewarding as I realized I was no longer playing an arcade style bball game but a simulation. You'll throw some wild passes, and then you'll get better and then you'll be on fire and yelling all about your awesome self. It's just that sweet. One thing about the realism and AI is that it does make the game more challenging, especially when running into the paint. No longer will you magically slip and slide your way to an And 1. Nope. There are arms sticking out everywhere and you will be blocked (and at times left on your backside). Believe it cuz it's gonna happen. Alley oops however are easier to handle (more intuitive?) for someone like myself who's never quite mastered them on 2K16 and that makes me really happy. My only cons so far are some of the player models seem off compared to others who look absolutely perfect. The infamous jersey jumping off the players skin seems to have settled down a bit. Pick it up and play it.

I love the game. Always have. I pre ordered the Gold legend edition ($99) in digital version so that i could eliminate all of the cases just sitting around my console. The only reason I also purchased the physical version ($59) is because the digital version will not allow you to use multiple profiles on the PS4. So in order for my son to enjoy the game and create a myplayer on his personal profile, I had to buy a second version of the game. Sucks.
