Game is better than last year's but still needs some fixing

I've tried both NBA 2K and Live and I can tell you that 2K is better by far. Live is headed in the right direction but it is years behind 2K. The biggest feature that Live doesn't have is that you can even do matchmaking 1-on1 with your friend! 2K 4 LIFE.

My teen son has the past couple of 2k games for ps and loves them. He really likes this one even more cause of how interactive it is such as creativity with character and more places to view on the game. Fun game for a basketball fan.

so sports gaming my second life and this game right here is probably one of the most garabage games 2k has released in awhile i wanted to like but with the terrible servers and glitchy in game play i have to say dont waste your time

The smooth gameplay is definitely here. I have always loved the feel of 2K basketball but it is getting harder to ignore the constant pushing of VC purchases in the game. MyCareer is my favorite part of these games but every year it becomes more difficult to accumulate enough VC to progress at a fun pace. I will never spend more money to buy it so I am at a disadvantage. If you are buying this game for the MyCareer mode, please keep in mind that it is designed to push you towards spending more money to make significant progress.

I would give this game a 5 if there werent so many micro-transactions. Now 100 vc for a haircut is ok. And the tatoos are sometimes expensive. But removing them is a whopping some 1200-1500 vc!!! Not to mention shoes for mypark and nba gamers are at leadt 1000 vc. If this werent the case that would be great. But the God Awful cutscenes you cant skip... it will be the death of me!!! That B Fresh girl is the most annoying person! I cant wait until 2k cones out with a patch to dunk on her!!! The neighborhood is ok. But it is too little butter on too much bread. I wish they would maybe put everything closer together. Make sure you choose your right build. If you dont want to spend money on vc and create another player and go through the UNSKIPABLE CUTSCENES. So make sure you like it. Thank you

I love the career mode. The journey from taking your player to 99 rating is so addicting, not to mention the park!

This edition has improved in the area of gameplay fluidity tremendously. I enjoyed the extras that you can do with your created player. It was truly like a GTA meets 2K collaboration (without the violence and mature content).

I had fun with this game for about 2 weeks but got rid of it shortly after the scoring frequency is way low for my career I would make 1 out of 10 shots I took completely wide open as an 88 ovr player and just got fed up.

My son's have been bugging for this game since before it was even out, as soon as they got their school progress reports and they both had awesome grades, I bought the game for them and they love it. Proud parents.

I've been a 2k fan for years and every year it seems to be a little bit of the same. Overall, the game is good but at this point, 2k seems to be becoming a little complacent and haven't really showed any great improvements to gameplay. Still, it's a solid iteration.

my son has played 2k17 and 2k18. personally i think i like 2k17 better but i think it doesnt matter to him. he plays this game faithfully. for him i am sure he would give 5 stars, but me i think it is just okay.

The gameplay is much smoother this year and the graphics have improved. However, the game is plagued by requirements to use Virtual Currency to unlock items.

Best basketball game out has great features great game play cant wait for the next year’s edition to come out

There are lots of great things in this game, but this year it seems like the VC system is geared towards real cash. It's a real long grind to upgrade your player without spending cash on VC

This is my favorite NBA 2K to date! The my career mode is legit and the gameplay has gotten even better.

Been a longtime fan of NBA 2K games. Had every year since 2K9. 2K trying hard to keep interest and they are doing somewhat well. However, severs are still buggy and laggy and microtransactions are almost necessary to create a MyPlayer.
