NBA 2K18 for the Switch is a great game, I’m surprised I don’t see it more often on “best of Nintendo switch” lists. Only down side is that you need internet connection, you need a micro SD card and it’s a very loooong download. But once you get through the download, it’s a whole lot of fun. A+

Overall, my son if pretty happy with the game. It was on clearance for $12.99 so I can't complain about it really. Gameplay is fairly good and my only real complaint if about how the game forces you to purchase a microSD card in order to work. Overall, we're happy with the game.

The only gripe is that it doesn't look as crisp when connected to TV compared to the Xbox One Version, but for my needs (portable play) it's great! Other thing to note is if you start a mycareer online, you won't be able to play it offline even if you're just trying to play solo. Just a note.

Running on the switch in handheld mold I’d give this game 5 stars. Looks incredible and has everything it’s big ps4 and Xbox brothers have. Having come from ps4 pro version of 2k18, there is no way I can go back to the jaggies and lowered resolution of the switch version in docked mode.

Good game especially for the switch. Finally a decent sports game on a Nintendo handheld device which has been very rare over the years. I almost prefer the game when not docked especially if you play the versions on other systems like the xbox/ps4 just because from a handeld standpoint its pretty nice but not from a HD standpoint on a TV.

So life like, hours of fun and not to hard to beat!

I bought this game for my son as a surprise for his 10th birthday along with the Nintendo switch game console! I wish I videotaped him when his dad and I gave him everything. He jumped up and down yelling and screaming. He really lives the game. He likes the realistic look of the players and the game itself. Glad I got it for him!

Great graphics for a switch title but the offline mode is limited.

My son really wanted this, so we decided on this as a Christmas gift. It was delivered as promised!

Just started playing the game and having a tough time with the controllers. Graphics are really good and the game looks like a lot of fun. Tough game to learn how to use the controllers, but I know that I am really going to enjoy it once I can learn how to maximize my video hoops game.

I'm glad to see a 2K game on Switch, the portability definitely is a huge draw. However, if you are a die-hard 2K fan, the other versions are definitely better. But as a die hard Switch fan myself, I really do appreciate being able to play this game on the go.

I know the graphics are not comparable to PS or XBOX, but 2K really tried their best to deliver.

This game is a shining example of how good ports can be; and is probably the best sports game the Switch currently has to offer. This is way better than Fifa... Out of all the hours I've put into this game I haven't experienced frame rate drops which is an amazing technical feat. Stop reading this review and go get it!

The actual gameplay is pretty good for a modern NBA game. The problem I have is that the game takes SO LONG to actually get to gameplay. Like, they actually have fully-modeled commentators doing pregame shows talking about this random exhibition match you set up. They even have a halftime show as well... Hiding load times is one thing, but actually forcing the player to watch these things in the guise of "realism" is laughable. At some point, sports games trend too much toward simulating on-TV sports that they actually forget how to make fun video games. I don't want to play all the bloat of TV sports. I just want to have a quick fun game of basketball. I got FIFA at the same time as this game, and it doesn't suffer from any of these negatives.

This is a good start for 2K series on the Switch. Great games to take on the go

As a longtime fan of 2K games involving the NBA I was not disappointed in the Switch version in any way. Having the ability to play a sports title on the tv or in bed at night makes this sort of pick-up-and-play title very versatile. I enjoy the immersive game modes and the level of detail available to players.
