So far impressed with Neato D7. Mapped house accurately. Cleans good. Easy to use and good app. We compared this to IRobot S9 and Neato was better in every category.

I bought my first Neato (XV-11) vacuum in 2012. It was love at first sight. I was mesmerized by the way it intelligently navigated rooms in methodical patterns. I could watch it for hours. Then reality hit. It would rarely finish a full cleaning without getting stuck. I eventually stopped using it. I thought I'd wait until they got it right. In 2018 I decided to give it another try and bought the most expensive model ($800) at the time, the D7. To be fair, my current house is 4500 square feet, but that's why I bought the one for "Large Houses". It is mostly tile floors, which should makes things easier for the little guy. I decided to put the dock in my master bedroom closet to keep it out of the way. It took me 4 tries over 4 days to get it to complete a full cleaning cycle to learn my floor plan. It would get stuck here and there and eventually get confused, forcing me to start over. When it finally completed, it took about 8 hours to complete its journey. Trust me, I removed all obstacles, including dining and kitchen chairs to help ensure it had the best chance to succeed. Cleaning went ok for awhile, with about a 20% chance of success for a full cleaning. I tried segmenting my house into partitions in the app which helped a bit, but was an inconvenience. Then it started failing immediately when starting a cycle because it thought I moved the dock, which I didn't. My theory is that since the dock was in my closet, it was confused if I moved my clothes on the hangers slightly or made any slight changes in that room. This room is 10 x 10 btw. I could usually get it to go with 3-4 tries if I moved things around between failures. I decided to move it to a better location, free of any potential changes. On the first attempt to re-learn the floor plan, it failed after about 7 hours. Today I tried again, and it failed in a different place. It just gets stuck in the middle of completely clear hallway on tile. In the end, it just takes too much time for me to remove all obstacles to try to get this thing to run successfully. I'm tired of listening to it drone on and on and tired of babying it and still failing. Plus, the dust bin is stupid small. I'm done with it. I want to love it, but it is 10x easier to just push an old fashioned vacuum around manually. I should have learned my lesson the first time. Maybe it would do better with a smaller floor plan.

We already have a Neato Robotics-Botvac D4. We liked it so much that we upgraded to a D7. This is an excellent piece of electrical equipment. Excellent for families with pets.

Not impressed for the price. I currently own the D3 and it does a great job. Tried this one and the cleaning power was ok and the only plus is the battery didn’t need charging as much for each run. Save your money and get the cheaper model.

Been using this for the last 3 weeks. It's been doing a great job of cleaning. Takes about 40min to clean 800sqft. However, the Wifi absolutely SUCKS!!! While sucking for a vaccum is a good thing, not so much for connectivity. Using the App the first time, connecting and setup is a breeze, but within an hr the wifi will be gone, and the D7C will forever show offline. You're forced to reset it, and go through the whole process again, and again, and again. This effectively makes the wifi and app (including zones, floorplan, and notifications) completely useless. The use of the app was one of the main reasons for purchasing this. Unless Neato can give me a solution, this may be going back in a couple days.

The Neato D7 cleans wood floors, area rugs, and carpeting amazingly well. Check the dirt bin and you won't believe how much debris is sucked up by this little robot vac!

I was skeptical at the quality this does, but I was sold after playing with an older version at my mom's house. This not only does a great job on solid floor, but also on carpet.

This is the 2nd neato in our household! I love the schedule, so it cleans while most of us are out. We have 3 dogs and it is my most favorite member of the family!

Purchased Roomba. Nothing but problems. Bought the NEATO and could not be more happy. Cleans a lot better than the Roomba and crosses over thresholds with ease

I researched this robot vacuum to others in its price range (mainly iRobot) before purchasing. The reasons I selected Neato are the dirt bin size and its maneuverability. I have dogs and this picks up all the hair in one pass and still has room for more dirt. It climbs over every rug i have in the house. It even climbed on top of my girlfriends cat post. The cat bas is an inch high and it got on top with no issue. The app is good but took me a little bit to realize some features didn't work until the vacuum did a full run of the house. The app is good once you figure it out but hopefully the app gets better in the future.

App works great. Allows no-go zones and the schedule makes forgetting a thing of the past. Love the map of the areas that got cleaned that day sent to my phone.

It was a replacement for a nine year old Neato and it works even better than the original one we had. A lot more power and a lot more run time.

Does an amazing job helping out with the house! My wife and I don’t have to sweep the floors constantly, which is a huge help sense we have cats that shed a lot!

Finally a device that delivers what the manufacturer promises! Functional, versatile, easy to use, clean results, very well configurable! This robot vacuum is not going to replace all of your vaccuming work but it certainly can supplant a part of it. Many of the earlier machines out in the market are fairly flawed and execution was haphazard. 1 - The D7 dustbin is sealed and comes right off the top of unit for easy emptying once you get it to your trash receptacle and and then simple replacement back into the D7. Multiple users said how tough it was to cleanly and easily remove dustbins from other brands without making a mess. 2 - To block off no-go areas with other brands, you use beacons or equivalent. Previous Neato models used magnetic strips as no-go lines. The D7 model will map your floor plan (current limit is one stored floor plan). Once mapped, you use the Neato app to draw no-go lines (as many as you need) with your finger. You can just as easily erase or change them. 3 - Most of the other robo vaccums are round. The Neato is D-shaped. The Neato configuration should make it easier to clean closer to flat edges (like floor trim). 4 - The Neato will work in the dark, like in a closet, under a bed, or during nightime hours or very dark weather. 5 - The most important point were the No-Go lines that you can draw without having to work with magnetic tape or any additional equipment! Once the map has been applied and lines drawn in, the robot leaves these zones safely outside! Simply perfect! Setup went perfectly. Cleaning about 1350 square feet took about 2.5 hours. The Neato has an approximate run time of 2 hours on a charge. So when the charge gets low it turns off the suction and finds the way back to the dock, it is able to dock itself, recharge and then automatically return to where it left off to finish the job. It is amazing how the D7 automatically navigates around obstacles and almost never gets itself stuck. Floors and carpets seem to be very clean after a run and the dustbin is always farily full after a two hour run. Very impressed with the performance. Worth every single penny..

I can’t say enough about this vacuum, it has great suction and gets under the furniture that my big sweeper can’t get. I use it 3 times a week!!

Used to have a previous model. This gets used to vacuum dog hair on hardwood flooring. It works well if you take the time to limit where it can go so it won't get stuck but the new app is required for it to work. That means you have to link it to your phone. It does not have the ability to clean your selected floorplan without a phone. Definitely would have gotten a device that works by itself without an app collecting data. Pretty expensive device to need a seperate computer to function. Also it now has squeeky wheels/rollers that you need to buy and replace regularly. For the money it should work as designed for years. This is made for you to keep buying parts/filters using your phone and data. Not happy but it does a decent job.

Best value on the market. Great map and great interface/app. Still gets stuck once in a while, but you can keep bot from those areas on the app.

Cleans under furniture and beds much better than I can. Works well in all lighting conditions, even in the dark. The house has never been cleaner and it takes no effort.

It’s an awesome product! Never thought it will be good enough but honestly it’s amazing. It does a great job picking hair dog and dust. Definitely the best!
