I got the vac home and loved it right away. It vacuumed up the dust and pet hair well and had a strong vacuum power. I set it up on a 3x a week schedule. The app worked ok but not great. Within 3 weeks it was docked on the charger but no longer charging. The entire unit was dead. Product returned!

Very heavy

If you have a house with kids, clutter and alot of furniture this vac isn't the best. It did do a good job picking up dirt, pet hair and sand, but this vc just wasn't for us and I returned it.

Trouble connecting Wifi. Support was helpful but..

Neato D6 and D7 had trouble connecting to my wifi because 2.4 and 5ghz shared the same SSID. The resolution was to change SSID but that was too much trouble for me, decided to exchange for Roomba i7 which connected flawlessly, within minutes it was cleaning.

Good but not great!

Most of the time the map doesn't work And you have to start creating a new map all the time. I returned it after a month of use because the app doesn't work and navigation issues.

Neato Wins Again
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So this Botvac was to replace my old one (It was in my basement and tried to run when it was flooded) so I was super excited to receive. What I love about it is the powerful vacuum and the large bin. We have two golden retrievers and a cat with dark hardwood floors so a daily vacuum is most certainly needed. It picks up all the hair and debris and does it all with only half of a charge. The floor it runs on is 1000 sq ft and has many obstacles so in a more open space it wouldn't even use a qtr of the battery I bet. I also would like to add there are two shag rugs in the room and it still goes right over them and never misses a spot. I would also like to add it has never been stuck. Haven't played with the app too much at this point but have used it to start when I leave work so I know I will walk into a hair free home. My sister has the major competitor and has had nothing but issues.

Dismal product

It is endless trouble despite all recommended maintenance. It quit working within a year, and now I have to pursue repair, or replacement with a different brand.

Expected More

Contacted support and they said to return in. Bought it on sale so it was $499 instead of the normal price.

Hard to start up

I tried again several times after it was charged as well so it wasn’t the battery. I’m sure it would work fine as soon as I figure out how to start it or contact geek squad.

Terrible product. Does not work w/o WIFI Password

Purchased product with understanding that you need WI-FI, as listed in the title. But no where in any of the online descriptions did it say you need a WI-FI PASSWORD. The vacuum will not work without WI-FI Password and we are unable to secure WI-FI Password. We have WI-FI but no WI-FI Password. Best Buy would not return the product, nor would NEATO. Complete waste of a purchase as we are unable to use and cannot even get store credit for something that will work. Terrible customer service at a critical time. Will not support Best Buy.

we're sorry to hear that you're having difficulty connecting your Neato to your WiFi.
Our robot vacuums will only pair to a secure connection and it is recommended that you have a password for your home WiFi for your own security.
If you need help with creating a password for your WiFi, then your Internet service provider or router manufacturer may be able to assist you further.
The Neato robot vacuum can still be used offline in the meantime, however, to avail of all of its features it will require a WiFi connection and a mobile device with the Neato app installed

Two times the hardware Failed

Don’t buy!

Every time I try to have it vacuum the entire house it gives an error message that it is on the “wrong floor”. I only have one floor but it does not recognize the floor plan. The only way to get it to work is to map the floor plan each time you want to vacuum. Very disappointed!

not for a bigger home

Was great for about 6 months

I have followed the instructions provided on the support page (many different times), but it has not been able to connect to WiFi anymore. As of this week, the unit won’t even start a cleaning run manually. It just keeps flashing the red icon (tried cleaning the brush and the bin). Beware.

Not Great

I have a thick rug in that room. I read reviews that it could climb on rugs and do a good job. Unfortunately that's not the case. The robot is constantly getting stuck. I have to restart it multiple times. Then the dirt is small. I'm constantly cleaning that out. I have 2 Irobot vacuum and they do a better job.
