BEWARE! This vacuum will very easily scratch the heck out our your floors and contacting NEATO ROBOTICS is an exercise in futility! See pics - including the vacuum underside itself, which shows major worn marks on the plastic, indicating that plastic is rubbing directly against floors... see pics. I don't know if this is a factory flaw or just the vacuum I have. Wish I could find out but NEATO support is very very poor. The details: First noticed the scratches after a couple runs. Emailed Neato on April 18th. No response so I re-emailed them on April 30th Finally on May 7th, received an email from Glenn, customer care - asking for Thank you for contacting Neato Robotics! Can you please reply back with the following information. Attach your proof of purchase (A receipt, order confirmation or bank statement) A picture of the sticker located under the Neato robot itself Full name: Phone: Serial Number (SN): Date of purchase: Place of purchase: Full Shipping Address: I provided them with that. No response. Reminder email sent to them by me on May 16th. Still Radio silence. So, FAIL for customer support thus far.

Wish I could have more than one floor plan. Floor plan is made by vacuuming the whole house which takes hours and two charges. Then if it fails you have no floor plan until it succeeds. Rescanning the floor plan is a risk it could take a couple of times and many hours before programming is complete. Factory brushes have bad bearings. 3rd party are better. Plan on getting some soon. Other than that it vacuums really well. Wish it held more as we have a dog that sheds. But does a great job of picking everything up.

I vaccuumed the floor twice with my Dyson upright. Then this ran 4 times and all 4 times the catch tray was full! I'm doing construction in my house and this handled the dust, pet hair, and other stuff without a problem! It's quiet enough to run while eating or watching TV. And my dog doesn't care that it's running. Bonus! Now I need a few more!

Great robot vacuum. It maps the house and makes it programmable from there. The only draw back is a small holding tank. Other than that, great robot vacuum.

We love our Neato ("Hal 9000") - it's navigation is very sophisticated and it does an excellent job cleaning. At times the connection to our network gets bunky and requires reconnection. We recently had to use Neato service which was excellent - easy to initiate service, easy to return and the unit was fully refurbished in addition to addressing the problem.

Nothing like waking up to a vacuumed house. It did get stuck occasionally but we worked out the obstacles and very happy with the results. We have carpet rugs on the carpet and linoleum no trouble with all the different levels. Even had the luck that the couches were tall enough it cleaned under them as well no more moving them to vacuum. Should have got it sooner!

Cleans great and gets into corners/along baseboards better than the completely round options for botvacs. Also gets itself "unstuck" very well. Have had some connection issues with the app, but might be my wifi. Overall, would purchase over the competition anyday. Pricey, but a definite must buy if you find on sale

We purchased this on 12/2/20. We have run it twice to cover 1500 sq ft. It has run twice and total vac time was just under 2.5 hours. It makes the transition from hard wood floors to carpet with no problem. It is also much quieter than the Roomba 980 or S9+. It has a large dust bin also. The only reason for 4 stars, was after the house mapping run, you have to draw boxes on the home map with your finger. It is not easy to get an accurate box drawn. So far this was a great purchase and I do recommend this.

I am kicking myself for not buying a robot vacuum sooner. This unit does an excellent job of cleaning my 1,600 sqft home on all surfaces (carpet, area rugs, and hardwood floors). My only gripes are with the app you use to control the unit. There needs to be an easy way to do spot cleanings right from the app. Right now you need to pick up the unit and place it where you'd like it to do a spot cleaning. I'd love to just pull up the floor plan on the app and touch right where I need my D7 to do a touch up. Still, this thing does a wonderful job keeping my place tidy all week long.

I had originally purchased D4 however that one doesn’t clean well and doesn’t have the side little brush to get the edges on the wall. Comparing the two, D7 is definitely worth the premium amount. It’s a premium vac, from the material to the battery life it offers. Everything with this vac is superior.

I have truly enjoyed having my Neato D7. it works very well, has a consistent wifi signal, cleans a variety of surfaces (rugs, sisal rugs, jute rugs, hardwood, and carpet) very effectively. it rarely gets stuck, and tends to clean efficiently. I have no regrets about this purchase

Love it. This replaced my Shark Ion robot which, for the price, got the job done. This does it with style. With the LIDAR, it rarely touches anything (no more bump marks on everything). I've watched it roll up within half a mm and just miss stuff constantly. Because it's actually got a pattern rather than the randomness used by older 'dumb' bots, this can do 800 sq.ft. in the time the Shark took to do a worse job in a 200 sq.ft. room and have battery left over. The maps are a godsend. If I spill in front of the couch I have a sector defined and I just tell the bot to clean the spillzone, and it does. If one of the dogs has been rolling around making a mess in the bedroom, I tell it go clean the bedroom and it rolls in, fires up, cleans it and comes home. I have it cleaning the house at 3am daily, minus my bedroom (noisy, as I said. Loud motor, and the wheels squeak), then at 3pm when I'm busy elsewhere, it cleans the bedroom entirely on it's own. There have been problems. I moved the base and suddenly couldn't access maps anymore so had to reinstall the bot, but that hasn't worked for everybody. A firmware update will fix it eventually. I had a problem with DNS for a couple days and it couldn't connect, and didn't do it's scheduled job. It failed silently, but support has been notified and it sounds like it'll at least throw up an error in the future. Had it told me it couldn't find it's servers, I'd have gotten it fixed a lot quicker as the DNS problems were intermittent. Keep that old vac around to occasionally get edges (it does a pretty impressive job, but not perfect and there may be buidup over time) and you're golden.

With recent app update, this vacuum not only charges better and has virtual no-go lines, but also can save multiple floor plans. I purchased an extra charger from Neato and now use the vacuum on both floors with efficiency. Takes only 35-40 minutes per floor ...benefits of having a saved floor plan.

This robot vacuum is better than what I expected. Reviews said it was loud which it is but not as loud as I thought it would be. I have not used all of the app capabilities, but overall like the app. I am not sure how to get the robot to pick up where it left off after an in-process recharge. I have a big downstairs area and robot cant complete the job without recharging. It could be at my own fault that it does not start back after recharging because I started manually before it was fully recharged. I will try and be more patient next time. A full recharge takes a couple of hours (according to the app). but overall I am pleased with how it vacuumed everywhere. It is a keeper since I got it during a deal of the day. App was easy to setup and link to Bobby (that's what I named it :) )

Nice robot vaccum not to loud does the job of cleaning my laminate floors

So far Johnny 5 is doing amazing at cleaning my apartment, the WiFi setup caused a small delay until I realized it works so much better on 5ghz but that was also my router to blame..once it was setup and the update downloaded I let it run a house scan and it did a light cleaning. I thought I cleaned pretty good myself before I bought it till I emptied it after it’s eco clean..then I realized how much I need Johnny 5 I’m in a 1 bedroom hardwood apartment with a nice size area rug plus two dogs who shed like crazy and it handles all the fur and dirt like a champ. The no go zones are awesome cause one of my dogs has late night accidents in the kitchen and I don’t have to worry about waking up to a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and get this robot.

Extremely happy with my new Neato D7. I traded in a Neato D7 which I had for 3 years and bought this new one. The navigation is incredibly better. It runs faster and in a sensible pattern. The old one would waste a lot of battery time going over the same areas while ignoring others. Plus it has Zones that can be set up to clean specific rooms. It also has No-go zones to protect spaces such as my dog's water bowl area. But I haven't tried those yet. All set-up and instructions are done via smart-phone. The noise level seem a tiny bit lower than the old one but they are not quiet. The old one had a problem connecting itself to the charging station, so far, this one is connecting well.

We have tried several different vacuums the D7 is hands-down the best robot vacuum we have tried as of yet. The only downside to it is the noise level as it’s vacuuming. It noise is less of a hum and more of a rattle. But it doesn’t excellent job of picking up after pet hair on carpet and hardwood floors we use it once a day and it maps out our house perfectly with this app we can use Knogo lines but the vacuum does a good enough job at not getting stuck anywhere in our house. I'm very happy with this robot. It doesn't get stuck and does a great job. You can map your house and mark off areas of your house that you dont want it to go, and schedule cleaning times for when you're not at home.

When working correctly, this is one of the best products I have purchased and my mother's favorite gift of all-time. It far surpassed my expectations in terms of how well it picks up dirt and dust. It absolutely blows away the battery powered Dyson's that we were using previously. The caveats: I don't believe this is a product for someone with little to no tech savviness. Also, I ran into some issues approximately one year after purchase but the Neato Customer Service was kind enough to remedy my situation beyond my expectations. Given that the product pics up dust and dirt fantastically, saves a ton of time, and Customer Service responded fantastically when I ran into a significant issue. I give this product 5 stars and totally worth it.
