This was one of the first games we bought when we bought a PlayStation 4. It was for me but my husband quickly fell in love with fast driving and running from the cops.

I had time without playing a really good need for speed like this since the previous one the need for speed was pretty terrible for me it liked this one turned out to be easier to play and configure

I'm glad it's playable offline now. racing is repetitive but fun. racing and cut scenes are fine and only mission races provide the best variety.

My son (10) loves this game and plays online with his friends. He has been playing for a week and has progressed very well.

It’s a fun game and I enjoy playing with the kids but if you are old like me, you may want to invest in the steering wheel if you plan to play alot. I’m too old for the controller :)

My daughter has been playing Need For Speed Rivals for years and despite the numerous racing games out there she loves the Need For Speed franchise. This game was just what she wanted.

Bought it for my son he really loves this game! He plays it every chance he gets and takes it with him whenever he goes to a friends house to spend the night so they can play it also.

Playing it was kinda hard because the car goes very fast but it’s hard to control it

This is one of the best Need For Speed games in years. For anyone familiar to the franchise, this game will not disappoint while providing some stellar new features and general refinement.

Purchased this game new along with a new PS4 Pro console. Game loaded and worked 1 time. Has not worked again. Tried many times over the past couple of weeks. Everything is updated to current versions, game and console. This shouldn't happen with a new game! Checked online and it seems that many others have the same problem. I keep waiting for an update to fix it...

my kid likes the game, I dont have any idea about the game, but i got it for my 11 year old kid who has the PS4. He likes the game very much.

Remember the old days when we were thrilled at every NFS release? Hot Pursuit, Underground, -- II, Most Wanted,... This is NOT the case. The gameplay is there but it's not quite what we expected....the online mode is mediocre to say the least. Jumping from event to event doesn't feel special either... I don't know what happened from like 5 years to now...maybe I'm just getting too old, or there is no more adrenaline from playing Need For Speed.

If you were interested in this game because of its E3 gameplay, then don’t buy it. That gameplay was a lie. It depicted the game as being a Fast N Furious like game, and that isn’t true. It’s story is very bad and only features a handful of those FNF style missions. And even those aren’t good. The graphics and gameplay feel as if they’re modern, yet everything else feels like the game hasn’t changed since Undercover. It directly borrows things from NFS 2015 without any changes or improvements. It’s "diverse" open world is very empty, but filled with pointless collectibles. It’s new card based upgrade system is terrible and ruins parts of the game. Collecting cars is no longer easy because each car needs to be upgraded with a new set of cards. And upgrading is now dependent on luck and grinding. It’s just a bad idea. If you’re looking for just an arcade racing game, then you’ll be fine with a Payback. Though I recommend getting it on sale. If you’re expecting a much improved NFS game with a well done story and set of characters, then do not get this. A lot of people didn’t like NFS 2015. This game does has some improvements and good changes, but it still feels like a step back.

You would think that after years of producing these games they would get the idea of what the consumer wants and doesn't want. Aftermarket steering wheel and pedal set ups are expensive do I would like my games to be compatible with them. If you hack a bit you can make most of the features on the wheels kind of work. The developers need to read the questions and answers in the surveys and they could produce a 5 star game compatible with any controller

Great game just wish I would have known that it wasnt two players. Can you tell I havent played video games in awhile, so I dont know what to look for? Other than that its fun.

I bought this game for son. I always be worried with violence and pornographer images at the games. This is a nice game.

Bought this after loving Need For Speed 2015, and was not impressed. Gameplay was a little more 'realistic' on the previous game.

This is definitely a fun game, but something feels like it’s missing. I felt more satisfied with need for speed rivals but overall this one is worth it to have.
