It does not, but I will say that's my fault for poor research. As soon as you put it in, it goes to a story line with pre-arranged races/missions. It's not like you can just get on, choose a location, car, or a race and drive. If you like missions all the time, then this would be the game for you. If you are looking for "free racing" so to speak, maybe look somewhere else. I'm not sure. It might become an option later, we haven't gotten past the second mission lol.

Cars feel like when they start sliding (uncontrollably) like if you were on ice, but drifting is really good and fun. Once you get the hang of it of course.
