I would recommend this to a friend Google Nest isn't great since Google took over.

Longevity/reliability is an issue and the app is very clunky. Google really ruined Nest unfortunately.

Posted .Hey there, PeterS. We’re sorry your experience with the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) hasn’t been the best. A quick reboot will normally resolve several issues and keep your device feeling fresh — here’s how to do that:
1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker.
2. Open the Google Home app.
3. Tap and hold your device's tile.
4. At the top right, tap Settings, then More, and then Reboot.

Specially with having a toddler! its so convenient!! I have mine in my kitchen and I play shows for my toddler while cooking or we'll call grandma on video! listen to music or even look up recipe's. You can use it for anything! If I could, I would have one in every room.

I already had a nest hub max in my kitchen, so I thought I would get a mini version of that for our master bedroom. I also have a nest audio speaker as well.

Great Hardware; Subpar Software

Software can use a lot of work. Google has been neglecting their Home ecosystem for many years. Some software issues: - does not consistently respond the same commands - had to attempt to re-add accessories to Google Home
