Pairs well with the google nest doorbell!

Alright for playing music if you’re not too picky about audio quality, it’s alright.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been debating purchasing this with my Nest doorbell because of the compatibility and if i were to have the doorbell ring while i was in a different room, that I wouldn't have to unlock my phone, and open the app. My only complaint is that this model isnt capable of video calls on Google Meet (previously Google Duo).

Posted .Hi Tanaya, thanks for the feedback you shared about the Nest Hub (2nd gen). With a Nest display, you’ll be able to see who’s at the door. You can also connect the Nest display and set up visitor announcements if you want to get notified when someone rings your doorbell. If you’ve set up a Nest camera or doorbell, it should already be added to the Google Home app. After you’ve added the camera, you can even use your voice to stream your camera video. Also, you can make and receive video and audio calls with other Duo users on your Google Nest or Home speakers or displays using Duo. The Nest Hub 2 works well and...

The Sleep Sensor functionality is finicky, it took several weeks (and a device reset) of having it next to my bed for it to finally start recording data. Overall it has been helpful.

Google Photos on this makes it easy for me to share photos with her of the grandkids and they auto rotate. She doesn't use all the features of Google Assistant but the photo frame, the alarms and timers and getting recipes are frequently used.

Have it hooked up in my kitchen very easy to see time and the background changes with the weather it also changes brightness in the setting to change with the ambient lighting

I didn’t care for the phone calls so i got the regular nest hub. However, while i cook and clean in the kitchen. I have entertainment ghat not only listens but has video display when talking back.

Helps me turn the lights on and off, monitor the cameras, pick songs for putting the baby down (with music). This thing really helps me keep my hands free while i do other stuff.

But whats better is setting it up with smart lights and saying 'Hey Google, turn out the lights' while all cozy in bed.

Nice tool to have around for quick checking of the weather or to set yourself a quick reminder. Or if you just want to listen to some music. I find these units to be very convenient.
