You'd be crazy to pass this up at $59 bucks! I bought 4 (2 bathrooms, 2 kids bedrooms) and LOVE the "whole house speech" feature -- to make sure the kids are up and moving, without having to quit making breakfast or playing my tunes. While it does NOT have a camera, I don't need that feature and again, for $59 bucks -- get one!

I always get quick and accurate responses to all of my requests. I also have the older model of the nest hub and this version moves significantly faster and is more intuitive

Keeps me company in my home office daily and I not only am able to keep up with the daily news but sometimes am able to simply watch old photos of my children prance across the screen. Playing my music is also very simple on my Nest. I highly recommend the purchase.

Got this instead because it's a photo frame that links to her Google Photos, so as long as that's updated, she doesn't have to do anything but enjoy the photos onscreen. Plus, it's a smart device so she can easily ask about the weather, set alarms, etc etc. Great product!

Bought it because I added 2 Nest floodlight cameras and a doorbell to my home. It is clunky and slow to respond. Phone is far faster. The speaker is Ok for sound, but integration with Spotify via hub is terrible and if you’re an iOS household forget pushing from your phone to hub. Oh, and YouTube music works, but changing songs is slow and unresponsive. Should I expect more from Google? Probably not given the clunky install of 3 Nest products (dependent on QR codes). Use your phone or get an Android tablet instead.

Meanwhile, it can be helpful to check for any wireless interference or rang issue that can affect the overall performance of your Nest display. Although the device can pass the connection test during setup, it will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away from your router. If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we also recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested, which happens if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. You may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points if your display is located too far from your Wi-Fi router.

Perfect gift for anyone. Ask google to play rain sounds at night for bed . And so much more ..

Plays all my music, YouTube videos, news, weather, my calendar events and reminders etc. Im addition to operating my thermostat, cameras, doorbell, and my sprinkler system. The screen will work well for several hours then turn green. Also, with the software updates the image from the camera will freeze. Support has not responded. This is the 2nd device. Other items work well, The only fault is the connection with the Nest/Google camera. Worked well until the software update in October 2022.

Wish I would've gotten this sooner. It comes in so handy when you want to find something out quickly. Also, like it because you can chromecast a station to it to watch a show. I use it to watch shows from Pluto. You can also ask it to music. You can practically do what you can do on your phone.

I love that it has a physical hard switch to disable the microphone, and unlike some other similar smart hubs- it doesn’t have a camera. As a privacy conscious person, these are key to me. I have cameras- I’ll decide where they go and what they’re looking at. I never understood the utility of a front facing camera on a smart hub.. This also plays Netflix, YouTube and Spotify audio/video surprisingly well.
