I suggested this as an alternative because of the added Google features that would help out in the kitchen and allow other features like music and video playback. Overall she mainly uses it for the pictures, but the added features being there is a nice to have.

Annoying part is the software, I saved a bunch of recipes under my account and my gf can't access them without my voice. There's no just general shared account, very frustrating.

At the moment, what we could provide is an option to share a Home in the Google Home app. You can invite home members who will share control of the home and its devices. Better than alexa

I use it to see the front Nest doorbell camera while I’m in the basement. It’s a nice upgrade for the $50 price

I can also use it to set an alarm or if i have a question about something, all it takes is a simple "Hey Google".
