    It had a ton of issues connecting to my internet. I hope it will be more useful down the road but right now seems redundant with the technology I already have.

      Hello there, Kevin. We appreciate you sharing this with us and are sorry to learn that you're experiencing some difficulties with your Nest Hub(2nd gen). We suggest that you retrain your device to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:

      Retrain Voice Match:
      - On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
      - At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
      - Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.

      Change Nest Hub's Hotword sensitivity:
      - Open your Google Home app.
      - Select your Nest Hub.
      - At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon. - Then tap Audio.
      - Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Hub more responsive to the Hotword.

    I was used Amazon Alexa for 4 years. This time just wanted to change because I updated mesh router and nest thermostat.product don't have camera, system is slow, touching display not responding good, doesn't support 3rd party company products (ring, etc...) they want to forced us to but their products only..I am really disappointed.

      Hi benny, thanks for trying out Nest Hub (2nd Gen). It's unfortunate to hear that you are experiencing performance, touch screen and 3rd-party support issues with it, and we apologize for any disappointment you may be having.

      Resetting Nest Hub may be helpful with the issues you are experiencing. A factory reset will reset your Nest Hub to its default factory settings, and erase all data. To reset, check on the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

      As for the 3rd party integration issue, we recommend checking if the smart product you are using supports the Google Assistant here: https://assistant.google.com/explore

    Shame there isn’t one for 8 inches. This one though very pleasant is too small for a side desk or even a a desk table.

    If you are looking to get in the smart home setup this product is a good starter. There are definitely better products out there though.

    I really like this device. I dont use it much but for a clock display but i do like it. I wish it supported my ring alarm like Alexa does. I have the ring alarm an door sensors an google says it supports some ring alarm functions like ring doorbell but it does not support the actual alarm piece.

    Tech Support Might Help Increase Sales

    I've tried 3 Nest Hub 7"s. The first installed very easily. I wanted to use another Nest Hub at another location and wasn't able to get it to work. I returned it and tried another unit. I wasn't able to get it to work either. I like the Nest Hub that I got to work and wish I was able to get the 2nd one to work. It might help if there was tech support to help with the installation. Best Buy was great with the return process.

    No camera ..same things you can do on ur cell. And the apps aren't apps you have to go online. Only has Netflix as app and no way to install ..I returned this device still waiting on my refund. I recommend you the Amazon hub it's cheaper and has a camera.

    It’s great for controlling things in the house but it is seriously lacking a good calendar feature and customizable Home Screen/widgets

    Not necessarily a product issue directly but google is failing with this product. It constantly crashes and restarts! I am reading it’s a software issue with no fix.

    Works pretty well though I have issues keeping Bluetooth connected. I need to reconnect Bluetooth every couple of days, which becomes annoying.
