We had issues with the Phillips hue lights, so we switched when this was on sale. Best decision ever. I only wish it had a 'movie mode' so it wasn't glaring bright while while watching movies.

Would love it if there would be more apps available directly on the device rather than using the screen mirror option. Overall a good product.

They are awesome to configure as a group of speakers for your whole house. These display types integrate with home automation devices easily allowing you to have a touch screen interface besides talking to them. Also it's great to show weather and videos. Especially when these go on sale are they very attractive.

I am hoping to upgrade at the end of the year to the model with the camera on it and place this in my room so it can monitor my sleep. I use it the most for timers and music/podcasts.

You can set it to recognize your voice and also set routines from your phone to turn on lights and even your TV. Bought one for the bedroom and kitchen to look up recipes or watch tv while cooking.

I already had the nest mini in the kitchen to control my lights and thermostat. works great as an alarm clock next to the bed and to control the lights. it did take a little internet research to figure out how to wake me up to iheartradio but works great now. the display adjusts to the light in the room so it is not bright at all when its dark to sleep. it supposedly has a switch to turn the mic off when you don't want it listening to you!
