From what I have read, Google makes it very hard to find it's MAC Address, which apparently many servers want to access. Googles solution to the issue was the have the facility modify it's network.

Then it uselessly searches for results on the web when I just asked it to spell a word! Can never turn my lights on or off when I ask it to it always can't find my device. the worst part is all devices are in my Google home app

The only bad thing is with the volume. Once you get to a certain point it seems to jump up in volume more than normal.

We suggest resetting Nest Hub (2nd Gen). This may be helpful to refresh the system and will improve the overall performance of your device. Doing a factory reset will erase all data and you may need to set it up again. To reset Nest Hub (2nd Gen), press and hold both volume buttons together at the back for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

Your Nest display could be having trouble connecting to Google, and you can try these simple steps below that might help:
- Check your Wi-Fi network for possible congestion. Relieving some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space.
- Ensure that it is within a line of sight from your router.
- Check for wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or appliances and devices nearby.
- Reset your Nest display. On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.
