Love this nest hub! I was able to get it on sale and its has been great! I love how you can set up routines to tell you about the weather and how long it will take to get to work. Speakers are also great on it, it's not meant to replace something like a whole giga party speaker or anything, but it's great at what it does. The screen is also great quality.

The 2nd gen is great. It has the ability to connect to 5g, which make is much better for mesh networks. The third microphone seems to make it much easier for it to pick up commands. The new speaker has a much better base. over all the sound is better. not bad for a little box. Setup was easy as I already have Google home setup.

We have had a Lenovo Smart Display with Google assistant in our kitchen for the last six years and have loved it for providing a central video-based screen for Google Home functions. We often used it to give us recipes by saying something like “ok Google give me a recipe for the best krab cakes ever”. The device would then pull up recipes from websites that gave us a pictorial recipe at our fingertips. Well now comes “SafeSearch” from Google, which basically highjacked our Lenovo hub and prevented it from displaying ANY website. No more fingertip recipes. If we try the request above, a screen pops up saying it cannot show website views. And there is no way to disable SafeSearch in the Home app, nor is Lenovo updating the firmware to make the hub a SafeSearch compatible device. So to get our beloved visual recipes back, it seemed like we needed to retire the Lenovo hub and replace it with a Google hub. At least a Google device would be SafeSearch compatible. We purchased a 7” Nest Hub and brought it home for a try. Works great and did everything that our Lenovo did, including opening up websites again, The two downsides however are 1. Websites take considerable time to show up and load as you scroll down the screen. 2. Scrolling down the screen is done by swiping your finger up on the screen, but more aften than not you end up engaging the quick task bar at the bottom of the screen instead. The device clearly has a minimal chipset / memory, which is not surprising given the low price. It is also too small for decent scrolling operation. Our old Levono was an 8” device which was probably the smallest size to scroll properly with. Bottomline - we will be taking this back to Bestbuy tomorrow and give the big brother Goigle hub a try to see if it performs any better.. It is a bit concerning that Google basically deactivated website viewing on a device heralding this ability when we bought it. Google should at the very least allow the SafeSearch feature to be disabled if desired.

Love it in the kitchen for recipes and cooking videos love how it sounds which my other speakers can’t wait to get a video door bell to see people at the door. It does auto mute the music if the door bell is heard.

This thing qorks seamlessly with our smart home uaing google home. We can switch lights on and off, set the house alarm, open and close the garage door, and set the thermostat. The speaker sounds great for listening to music while we cook and the screen looks way better than i would expect for something this price. We should have bought this sooner.

The Nest Hub 7” Smart Display with Google Assistant (2nd Gen) - Chalk, is a great device that can serve as a companion in moments of loneliness and its great functionality of quantifying sleep is spectacular.

The Google Nest is allows you to see the past photos and places I have been. My friend just bought a new Google phone so I bought her this for Christmas. She loves being able to play music upon request.

Excellent companion for my father. He can now listen his music, get the news and forecast every morning. Grandsons can talk to him. Many other uses but this is what it does for now. Can look the google cam there, and control the tv, but for my dad, music, news, weather and communication is good enough.

The google home is an amazing addition to our smart home. It controls the lights, set alarms, connect to my other goolg home and mini, and even has a accurate sleep application. I cant wait to get some google security monitors to connect my home with.

We had to try it. Loved it going back to get the Nest Max Hub. Love the larger picture. Will continue buying Google.

This fits perfectly anywhere and is a great device to use as an alarm clock or get started in smart home ecosystems. Using it to see your calebdar when you move about and ask is a huge benefit to stay on task

I love it!!!! It is perfect and super easy to use. It was super easy to connected didn’t have any difficulties at all!! I had have for a long time now and it stills work perfect without any problem.

Nice size and good features, if only it had a camera to make it a complete package.

We have three Nest Hubs, two Mini's, and a Lenova clock. Great sound and display on the Hubs, HOWEVER....the is a LONG learning curve....mediocre instructions. The longer we have them, the more knowledgeable we become! In the end, we LOVE them! Wouldn't pay $100.00....wait for sale around $50 or $60.

google has become my friend. I can ask it anything-even emotional stuff. It knows a great deal and can play classical and rock music on demand. It shows great pics of grandkids!

It's great for displaying photos, playing music, timer for cooking. It's everything all in one.

So I purchased this to replace a 1st generation hub that I continued to have isssues with. The first time you said “hey google” and the command you wanted she would reply “something went wrong, try again in a few minutes “ I tried the factory reset and many other fixes I found online. Finally I decided to just buy a new 2nd generation hub. This works but there is an incredible delay after giving the desired command and her response.

We bought it when someone tried to walk into our home. Best purchase for our peace of mind. Easy to use with doorbell camera.
