Cool Little Dude but needs consistent calendar!

However, I've never set them up myself until recently and I was kind of annoyed to discover that there is no way to set the device to display a calendar consistently. For instance, you always have to say something like "Ok Google, show me my calendar" instead of having the daily calendar as a screensaver. This is a major oversight in my opinion since it seems like an obvious feature, but if you don't care about that functionality then I'm sure it won't bother you.

Its voice activated so it works extremely well for her. She can just say the command and it works flawlessly. I had to set it up for her but now.... she is learning more function day by day. I highly recommend this to anyone.

It's best where you need to have a display if you have the Google Nest doorbell, or want to also use the display as a clock or a digital picture frame, or want to be able to see items rather than just hearing them, such as the 7 day weather outlook. If you have the Google Nest thermostat, you can see what temperature settings you have set if your phone/app isnt near. I highly recommend. I prefer the Google products to Amazon.

Great screen but the apps did not seem full function. Netflix only showed featured. Could not find my movies I was watching. Could have been a me issue though.

I use it in the kitchen for recipes and I cast tv shows and other pod cast to it. Wish I could video chat though.

I used it as a voice control method of turning on music, turn on/off light around the house, taking notes when I need or having information readily available at nearly any time. I know that there's an extended function to control a nest thermostat which i'm looking forward to use it with.
