Sleep Sensing features are subject to your permissions and settings. They use motion, sound, and other device and sensor data to work, and require placing the device close to the bed and calibrating the device for your sleeping position. Please note that since Sleep Sensing monitors the spot you usually sleep, children, pets, and other family members sleeping in that spot will affect your data. Device placement, motion, and other devices nearby might lead to inaccurate readings. If someone nearby coughs or snores while Sleep Sensing is on, this feature might process and attribute those sounds to you.

If you need to turn Motion Sense on again, which is required to be on to perform Quick Gestures and Sleep Sensing, here’s how:
- From the bottom of your Nest Hub (2nd gen) display, swipe up.
- Tap Settings > Motion Sense.

- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.

Adjusting your Nest Hub's mic sensitivity and retraining it to better recognize your voice can be helpful with the issue. Check out the steps below:
Retrain Voice Match:

- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.

We also recommend changing Nest Hub's hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Hub.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your NestHub more responsive to the hotword.
