This is my first entry into the smart home google ecosystem. I really enjoy using it. I especially like that there is no camera on it. The sleep sensing calibration takes some work to set up correctly. If you tend to move through the night or get up to use the restroom, it appears to stop tracking your sleep and thinks you’ve woken up and walked away.

Thus, if you have your music at 100% on your blue tooth speakers, and ask Google to do something... the voice assistant will boom out at 500% volume. The screen is a little laggy when moving around it with your finger using the touch. but whatever at that, it's only $100. Cheap tablet pretty much.

Adding volume control for the Assistant voice will be a great feature for Nest Hub devices. If the touchscreen responsiveness has somewhat become laggy, you can perform a factory data reset on your Nest Hub . Rain sounds for white noise is surprisingly nice. The soft light to show the time is great. It does not Bother my eyes at all early in the morning.

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great at first but noticed after a year or so, Google would randomly listen in on my family conversations and try to search what we were talking about (it still does, plus durning these listen in's, we never once said its name like "Google" or "Hey Google"). I swear am not a conspiracies but it does freak me out and maybe its just a glitch in its system. I dont know. So now, when we do need it; we have to unmute it with the manual mute button on its back. Since we use the button often, I feel like it defeats the purpose of having the Google Hub because if I need something I have to walk across a room or rooms to unmute it and then remute it, so it doesn't keep trying to search random parts of our conversations. So I hope its just my system and not all of the Google Hubs because I have always favor Google items till this incident...

I love that we can make video calls on it to my husband, who works away from home for long periods and the kids can see him. My husband and I also love the ability to check in on the camera to see what's happening if we aren't home or if we are outside doing yard work and the kids are inside playing.
