The screen will work well for several hours then turn green. Also, with the software updates the image from the camera will freeze. Support has not responded. This is the 2nd device. Other items work well, The only fault is the connection with the Nest/Google camera. Worked well until the software update in October 2022.

Keeps me company in my home office daily and I not only am able to keep up with the daily news but sometimes am able to simply watch old photos of my children prance across the screen. Playing my music is also very simple on my Nest. I highly recommend the purchase.

I love this little guy. I have Google nest minis in every room but decided to get the 7 inch screen hub for my bedroom. It works as clock. It will show pictures randomly. When you askGoogke a question it will show you images as well depending on what you ask. Perfect for the bedroom. I am considering one for the kitchen.

Great in the kitchen

Works great for recipes and I can listen to music while I toil. I really enjoy seeing my pictures from my Google Photos every time I walk by the fridge. Ended up buying a second one for the bedroom. Will Sleep Sensing, the screen dims automatically to a barely visible clock. Enough to see in a pitch black room without disturbing my sleep - a must for me! All in all it's a simple and intuitive device.

I often have visitors and using this as a hub prevents them from having to speak to Google to turn things on and off. The pairing process was easy to set up and I really enjoy the pictures that play when the screen is idle. Last but not least, the motion sensor is pretty cool. I like that screen "wakes up" when I'm near it.

Great Visual Assistant

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for kitchen to show recipes or answer random questions, I use it as digital album too thru google photos. 2nd gen is almost identical to the 1st gen, I was expecting more changes. It does have more sensor features like reading the room temp. The downside is the screen responds differently, more delayed despite screen highlighting selection, it could be user error and maybe a setting can change it but the screen seems thicker on this one requiring more pressure. Sound quality is fine but of course not like the jbl or lenovo speakers with google assist.

If you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network, removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. Wish I would've gotten this sooner. It comes in so handy when you want to find something out quickly. Also, like it because you can chromecast a station to it to watch a show. I use it to watch shows from Pluto. You can also ask it to music. You can practically do what you can do on your phone.

Good sound but UI is slow
