Then, I realized that I wouldn't ever use the sleep monitoring feature, rendering the upgrade completely worthless so I ended up returning it. But if you're buying this as a new Nest Hub, it's worth every penny.

Google Photos on this makes it easy for me to share photos with her of the grandkids and they auto rotate. She doesn't use all the features of Google Assistant but the photo frame, the alarms and timers and getting recipes are frequently used.

I find the Alexa products easier to set up and use. I was hoping for more smart home integration and a better control panel - this is not it.

The Sleep Sensor functionality is finicky, it took several weeks (and a device reset) of having it next to my bed for it to finally start recording data. Overall it has been helpful.

Have it hooked up in my kitchen very easy to see time and the background changes with the weather it also changes brightness in the setting to change with the ambient lighting

Helps me turn the lights on and off, monitor the cameras, pick songs for putting the baby down (with music). This thing really helps me keep my hands free while i do other stuff.

Posted .Hi Tanaya, thanks for the feedback you shared about the Nest Hub (2nd gen). With a Nest display, you’ll be able to see who’s at the door. You can also connect the Nest display and set up visitor announcements if you want to get notified when someone rings your doorbell. If you’ve set up a Nest camera or doorbell, it should already be added to the Google Home app. After you’ve added the camera, you can even use your voice to stream your camera video. I didn’t care for the phone calls so i got the regular nest hub. However, while i cook and clean in the kitchen. I have entertainment ghat not only listens but has video display when talking back.

Reboot your display:
1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
3. At the top right, tap Settings > More > Reboot.
As a last resort, you can factory reset:
1. On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.
