Super limiting for me. I am out of plugs in the places I want to purchase more of these for so I guess I am just sticking with the 1. I am mainly using this for the nest cams and doorbell. Being plugged into a wall helps me none. Might as well use my phone. The marketing video’s definitely made it seem like it was portable.

Not Worth Adding To Your Nest Smart Home System

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Nest Hub to go along with Nest Cameras and other smart devices but found the interface to be clunky and it really didn't add anything to the experience. The phone app was still quicker than using the Nest Hub and most voice commands weren't recognized or led to anything useful. Can't recommend this product in its current state even while being a fan of the other Nest home products.

We're sorry to hear that your experience with the Nest Hub(2nd gen) has been less than ideal when it comes to the interface of the device. We suggest that you retrain your Nest Hub to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Hub's Hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Hub.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Hub more responsive to the Hotword.

However, we're sorry to hear that you're having some delay issues with it. If you're willing to try, resetting Nest Hub (2nd Gen) can be helpful in fixing some issues like delays and performance lags. To reset Nest Hub, check on the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting. You may also need to set up your other devices with Nest Hub (2nd Gen) after resetting.
