    I bought it to try out Google’s side of things to see if I could replace Alexa. I couldn’t. It has a great screen and sound but I just couldn’t get used to it

    If your gonna get it you’ll love it but buy the Geek Squad plan. I purchased 2 and one has sound issues!

      Resetting your Nest Hub may be helpful with the sound issue. Keep in mind that this will erase all data and that you may need to set it up again. To reset your Nest Hub, check on the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

    Device looks nice and sleek but Google assistant performance has regressed in past couple of years.

    worked well for over a year. now it's buggy. display cracks easily so make sure to keep it in a good place.

    Small screen, poor assistant support

    The screen is very small so it's basically a digital clock and weather display. The google assistant support on it is awful. The same voice command works on the phone but not on the hub.

    So far so good. Connects with my Deco mesh router. Communication is good and working on other applications as well

    Every single time this thing updates it takes features away. Google is going to get rid of it at this rate soon. I would not recommend today, I would have a few years ago. Ideally they start to revert some of these changes and I can change my review.

    Useful regardless of your choice of assistant

    While the Amazon Echo 8 has more features including the ability to make video calls, the Nest Hub 7 does not bombard you with ads and needless stuff. I have both and while Alexa is my everyday assistant, having the Nest Hub is convenient for displaying my automation dashboard, viewing my next cameras, and filing in the holes that the Echo Show 8 leaves.

    This is my third Nest Hub 7" purchased within a year. I have one in the kitchen, another one in the home office and this last one for the bedroom. I like it available close by when I need it and having to see the response on screen over just listening to it.

      A range issue or wireless interference can affect the performance of your display. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. You can try these simple steps below that might help:
      - Check your Wi-Fi network for possible congestion. Relieving some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space.
      - Check the distance between the Nest display and your router. Ensure that it is within a line of sight from your router.
      - Check for wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or appliances and devices nearby.
      - Restart Nest display and router to refresh the connection.

    Not worth the effort of setting it up on Google Home. It's only good if you buy additional items to make full use of the unit.

    I bought the Nest Hub 3 weeks ago and is flawless! I love the clock display and also it gets ready when I get close to with the display. I haven't tried all the functions yet, but so far I like it. I am planning to buy another Nest Hub for my mom.
