Will respond to simple commands. We cannot get the screen to stay on Home Control. It is not intuitive. We had a Nest thermostat installed, so we bought this. Again. Ugh. We do not like it.

Cameras, Security system, Door Locks, Etc. Also great for listening to music during the workday, getting the weather, or setting a timer while working.

I enjoy the voice command feature and I’m able to set alarms and reminders. Also like to have it in the kitchen so I can look up recipes while I cook.

You can integrate a lot of other services in to it also. I love this store. Employees are always very friendly and helpful. They ask as soon as you walk into the store if they can help you find what you're looking for. Very helpful if you already know what you're there to buy. Also, I'm usually in and out the door if I don't get too held up by geeking out on all the electronics!

I have three of them in three different parts of my apartment. I watch my tv on this, since I do not have a formal type of tv. I also love the fact that I don't need a regular hub to connect for all the other products that I have in my apartment.

We had been using a Google mini that we got for free from Google but it was glitchy. But then I saw this in the store and it was only $10 more than the Echo Dot (on sale). The display picture with Spotify, weather and timer was what sold me. Unfortunately I haven't been able to duplicate that display yet. Nevertheless, I like that it has a slim profile, the clock display and that I can watch YouTube from it. I also like that I can heart songs that I like on Spotify to add them to my 'liked' songs playlist. For the sale price, I think it's definitely worth it. I'd probably be less likely to buy it if it were the regular price.

Your Google Nest display screen shows a wealth of information like notifications, weather forecast, activities, and alarms. For most actions, you can control the screen with your hands or your voice. The available pages (Your morning, your afternoon, or your evening) can show you your schedule, the weather and more. The title and content of the page changes depending on the time of day. To open the page's Navigation menu, tap the display screen when it shows photos or when it’s in Ambient mode.

Invest in a Nest

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As a Google Mini fan - even with its ‘quirks’ (my Scottish Borders accent can throw her off a wee bit) - I bought the Nest so information could be displayed as well as heard. I wasn’t disappointed, especially with the feature of being able to stream YouTube videos and broadcasts. It also makes a very good clock! And who couldn’t love the Google Weather Frog - Froggy - and his weather-related screensaver antics? Definitely worth the investment.

Great Sounding Smart Speaker , Smart Touch Screen with Streaming apps and Chromecast built in , digital assistant and covert, security camera on one Yes Yes Yes and Yes it does it all.

Nest Hub, 2nd Gen. - An Easy Expansion

The new 2nd generation Nest Hub installed & linked-up very easy to the existing Google network. I have not been able to identify what improvements exists from the 1st to the 2nd generation, but it may exist on features I am not using!
