It's very difficult to follow the directions. Somehow I got it to work but when I bought a 2nd Nest Hub I couldn't get it to connect. Otherwise this is a huge upgrade from my 1st Gen that still works great!

I place them throughout the house. I set them up as a group and play music on them. Their usual setting displays all my photos.

Mic sensitivity could be improved, not as good as alexa in terms of pick up and understanding what you want… Main reason I switched from alexa to Google assistant was because you can use Google assistant to tell the nividia shield what app to open and tuning to specific channels on YouTube TV.

I have my door bell camera & my flood light camera feed running to my nest hub. The nest hub also pays music & stream video from your phone i like it and it works well for the things i use it for.

It lets you cast shows to it and stuff using the chromecast button which is avalible in almost every streaming app. The speakers sound good. It even told me happy birthday.

I bought this because it was on sale. It's great. Works my thermostats, sound bar, TV and has Netflix for the kids when they're in the kitchen. Serves as a picture frame most of the time. Sound is great. We play YT music on it and cast to the sound bar for first floor tunes.

Posted .Hey there, Cross024. We appreciate the feedback you shared. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the performance of your Nest Hub (2nd gen) is below your expectations. Restarting your Nest display can improve its performance. Also, a range issue or wireless interference can affect the functionality of your display. Although the device can pass the connection test during setup, it will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away from your router. If your display is located too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points.
We also suggest retraining your Nest Hub with the Voice Match especially if you have other family members sharing your display. Here’s how:
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- At the top right, tap your account.
- Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
- Tap Assistant settings > Voice match > Add devices.
- Make sure any devices you want to link your voice to are checked.
- Tap Next, I agree.
- Follow the in-app steps.
- To get your personal information, you must turn on Personal results.
- Tap I agree and proceed with the Voice match setup.
- To invite others to set up a Voice Match for tailored results, tap Invite, choose your communication method, and send the invite. To skip this step, tap No, thanks.

Ive currently got 2 in my house they are the best for timers, playing music and just genrral knowledge questions. I we also able to set up my doorbell cam and other security cameras to view on there as well. Great product and the price is perfect.
