Two downsides: 1. the power cord is too big. 2. When you manually turn off camera, you also turn off the mic, which you can not wake up google assistant anymore.

It's fun to be able to be outside of my home and talk to family members at home. Sometimes the Nest is frustrating while trying to select different programs.

It just turned off and never turned back on. Completely defective. And I wasted over $200 (this was after discounts). I contacted Best Buy and they said I need to contact Google. I contacted Google and they said I need to contact Best Buy. I'm VERY unhappy with my purchase and my wasted dollars as well as my wasted time trying to get this replaced (this is all less than a year of buying it).

Set it up close to Google IQ indoor camera. It had trouble connecting to Netgear or CenturyLink while IQ camera has excellent delivery of video to android phones. Hub Max had displayed video once and went black for the whole evening. I did research and found that it had problems with many routers. So it is a problematic device.
